Trishna Patel took care of a lot of stuff, but I'll add some thoughts. This was a really great meet.  (Editor's Note:  See Patel's comments on the UCLA website here)

On vault, Malia Jones scored 9.5 on a fron tuck; it was clean with a small step. Jeanette's vault was landed a little low but she was warming up some beautiful, high ones. Kristin Parker was absolutely thrilled with her effort, and it was great to see her back in the vault lineup throwing such a beautiful and solid piked barani.

On bars, Velasco swung one of the cleanest sets I've seen from her. The whole team was clean for the most part. Onnie had to cover on her front-full pirouette. She was pushing for the handstand and went over, but switched her grip and went straight into the Tkatchev, if I remember correctly, and stuck the landing. I thought Jamie's score was a bit high because her toe-on shoot to HB and Gienger were a little close, but she sent that full-in flying and nailed it! Doni's toe-on shoot is worth mentioning - it was high and caught at a great distance from the bar.

Jeanette exhibitioned, same set as last year. Inverts to piked Jaegar sequence was quick and powerful and she hit her handstands well. Great to have her back!

Beam was just awesome for UCLA. Doni led off solidly but has changed her dismount to a gainer-back pike off the end. She took out the wolf-3/4 and did wolf jump-beat jump instead. Jamie's beam was incredible. She had one tiny, tiny break on the front, but it was an agressive set.  I wouldn't have been surprised to see it score a quarter to half a tenth higher. Malia's set was beautiful but she has taken out the straddle-3/4. Onnie and Yvonne hit solid sets, and Alyssa capped it off with a beautiful routine. Her front aerial was connected smoothly to the ff and she's added a double turn which was perfectly done. Michelle Conway exhibitioned, nailing her Homma flairs and illusion but having a scary fall on her ff-layout. She straddled the beam and bounced back up and fell. She later touched the beam lightly on a split jump-full. She fell on the double turn, and was a little off to the side on the dismount.

Malia had to change her first pass on floor to whip through to double tuck and landed short and bounded out a little of her last pass. Jamie Williams had a great effort on floor. She nailed her double pike and upgraded her second pass to handspring-front full-bounder step-out (barely OOB). She was a little off in her last pass and had to do front layout-front tuck and put her hands down, but it was nice to see her try to adjust rather than just stopping after the first front layout like she used to do. She's made great strides, and she even smiled a little during the routine. Alyssa hit with a beautiful rudi second pass. Yvonne's triple twist was slightly short but her last pass was very well-done. Onnie and Jamie followed up with incredible sets. Jamie is amazing - she had barely any run going into the double tuck but still set it way up and nailed it.

Oregon State had some really aggressive bar routines with lots of sticks on difficult dismounts.

Heidi Goehring - Tkatchev, baby cast, straddle-back HS; stuck double layout

Lindsay Nelson - high Tkatchev; overshoot; stuck double layout

Annie Campbell - straddle-over, uprise HS, Gienger, cast-1/2, front giant, Healy, straddle-back HS; nice double layout

Tanya Ricioli - elgrip giants to Jaegar; straddle-back HS; stuck double front

Jerra Lopez - Jaegar, overshoot; double layout that almost went to her knees

Elizabeth Jillson - Shaposhnikova; possible the best piked Jaegar ever to overshoot; stuck double layout. She's my favorite non-Bruin bar worker. I thought she was a senior but she's a junior so that's great news.

OSU Vault

Meghan Jones - front tuck, cowboyed, step forward

Jerra Lopez - tuck front-half, low, hop forward

Tanya Ricioli - high front pike, quick stick before saluting

Therese Videan - high piked barani, fought for stick

Heather Justus - HUGE front pike, put hands down in front of her

Annie Campbell - Yurchenko-layout, nice body position, hop back

Alisha Stephenson (exhibition) - Yurchenko-layout

Floor

Heather Justus - front full-front layout, 2 cat leap-doubles, whip 1/2-front full, front layout-front tuck

Elaine Yoder - 2 1/2 twist (stumble), Johnson-Popa-wolf full, front layout-front tuck, double twist

Tanya Ricioli - double pike, whip 1/2-front full, whip 1/2-front layout, Popanova

Jerra Lopez - punch front full-bounder-barani-layout stepout (nice), whip 1/2-front layout (low, underrotated), front full-punch front

Annie Campbell - full-in, front pike through to double pike, double pike (strong)

Beam

Lindsay Nelson - RO-ff mount, straddle-straddle-wolf, ff-ff-layout (low), layout side somi with a late turn, stuck double twist

Daylee Ingalls - switch-side, fell on a layout, switch-straddle-straddle (weird position on straddles), ff-gainer full off the side

Jerra Lopez - ff-layout (high), switch-1/2, beat jump-ff; outside full turn, punch front, switch leap-straddle; front-full

Elaine Yoder - switch leap-straddle jump-stag jump, ff-ff (quick turn, must've missed the series), switch leap-wolf jump, gainer-full off the side

Tanya Ricioli - ff-layout-whip (solid), wolf-double stag ring (tentative on ring), oak tree, wolf-full; front-full

Annie Campbell - ff-ff-layout (solid), Popa (small break), switch leap-straddle, nicely-held oak tree, stuck front-full

Meghan Jones (exhibition) - ff-ff-layout (knee bend), sheep-wolf, full turn with leg horizontal, layout side somi (late turn), switch-Korbut, stuck front-full

At the end everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Yvonne Tousek. And at the beginning, Alyssa did her best job yet with the national anthem - it was great.
