Ursinus Wins NCGA East Championships

Ursinus scored a school record 193.55 to win the East Regional and qualify to the NCGA Championships in two weeks.  They also set new team records on the VT, UB, and BB.

Ursinus was led by Kaelin Ruoss' win in the AA, a 38.675 school record.  Teamamte Kristina Steffenhagen won the FX with a new recoard, and was named NCGA East Gymnast of the year.  Ruoss was frosh of the year.  Teammate Jillian Casarella won the BB. 

Cortland State's Amanda Scanlon won the VT.  Brockport State's Stephanie Schuler won the UB.

Bridgeport 194.675 at W&M 195.0

Host W&M set a school record on vault en route to the 4th best score in school history.  Brittany Stover broke the school record on VT for the win, and won the AA with another school record score (39.5).  She also won the UB. 

Bridgeport's Brianna Comport won the BB while teammate Sasha Tsikhanovich posted another win on FX.

Army 413.8 at W&M 411.8

Army defeated host William and Mary.  Army was missing star Jesse Glenn, but other stepped up in his absence.  Sam Kusnitz won the FX and VT, while Connor Venrick won the Rings and Chris Short won the PB.  For W&M, Aria Sabbagh won the AA while Michael Deitz won the HB and Keaton Ackerman won the PH.

Men's: Ohio State 425.7 at OU 449.7

Host OU jut missed the 450 mark but still finished the season unbeaten.  Allan Bower led the Sooners with wins on VT and PB.  Alec Robin added a win on FX, while Michael Reid won another PH title.  Michael Squires had a meet-high 16.05 to win rings, whily Jacoby Rubin won HB.

WVU posted a season high and a 196+ to close the regular season.  Alexa Goldberg and Melissa Idell led the Mountaineers.  They tied for the BB title with teammate Jordan Gillette while Goldberg won the UB and Idell won the FX.  Teammates Jaida Lawrence and Zaakira Muhammad tied for the VT title.

Men's: Navy 418.15 at Springfield 411.5

Navy posted a win at Springfield to wrap up the regular season.  Jonny Tang won FX and Joshua Steves won the Rings to lead the Midshipman.

Michigan used a big vault rotation to hold off PSU, Minnesota and Iowa and win the evening session of the Big 5 meet.  They were led by Nicole Artz, who won the AA with a 39.55 and who tied for the VT and BB titles.  Teammate Sachi Sugiyama tied for the VT title and tied for the title on FX.  She tied with Minnesota's Lindsey Mable, who also tied for the VT title.  Minnesota's Jenny Covers and Cierra Thomson grabbed a share of the UB title with Iowa's Mollie Drenth.  Drenth also shared the BB title.

Utah 197.275 at Georgia 197..4

Host UGA edged undefeated Utah by just 0.175 points.  A pair of UGA frosh tied for individual titles:  Natalie Vaculik tied for the BB title with Utah's Baely Rowe.  Meanwhile on FX, Gigi Marino tied with Utah's Becky Tutka.  Utah split the remaining hardware.  Kari Lee won VT while Georgia Dabritz won the UB.  Ute Tory Wilson also won the AA with a 39.275.

Illinois edged host NU to win the first session of the Big 5 meet.  Giana O'Connor led the Illini with a win on UB.  NU's Jessie DeZiel won the AA, posting a 39.425.  She also took the BB.  Teammates Grace Williams and Ashley Lambert tied for the VT title, while Husker Hollie Blasne took the FX title.

Kent State 195.05 at Bowling Green 195.7

Host Bowling Green defeated Kent State, 195.7 to 195.05 on Senior Day.  Jamilah Ali won the VT to lead the Falcons.  Teammae Rachel Reis added a win on UB.  Kent State's Rachel Stypinski won the BB and FX, once again.

SCSU 191.4 at West Chester 191.65

Host West Chester edged SCSU for the win on Saturday, led by Majesta Valentine.  Valentine won the VT, FX and tied for the BB title en route to a 38.9 AA victory.  Teammate Meghan Brannon won the UB.  SCSU's Meghan Cole earned a share of the BB title.

Washington 196.6 at UC Davis 196.9

UC Davis celebrated Senior Night in fine fashion, breaking the school record for overall team total and breaking or tying school records on VT, UB, FX and the AA.  Senior Tiana Montell won the VT, trying the school record while Stephanie Stamates tied the record while winning FX. Dani Judal broke the school record in winning the AA, posting a 39.475.  Senior Kala DeFrancesco added a win on the UB.  For Washington, Jackie McCartin won the BB as the Huskies recorded a season high.

Host SUU celebrated Senior Night with an oh-so close win over Boise State and Cal.   SUU was led by Ana Jaworski, who won the BB.  Cal's Toni Ann Williams won the UB and FX en route to a 39.475 AA win.  Boise State's Ciera Perkins and Maddie Krentz tied for the VT title.

Men's: UW 386.35 at Cal 430.75

Host Cal broke 430 in a win over Washington's club squad.  Cal's Kevin Wolting won the AA with an 88.9 to lead the Bears.  He also won the FX with a meet-high 15.6.

Men's: ASU 408.25 at Air Force 425.65

Host Air Force defeated ASU's club team, posting a solid 425.65.  Air Force senior Josh Ramos won FX and PB to lead the Falcons.  Frosh Arinn Wade won PH, while teammate Denis Aurelius won the Rings.  Falcon Chase Cannon won the HB.

Air Force 191.05 at ASU 195.175

ASU celebrated Senior Night with a rebound performance from last week (where they were unable to field full lineups).  Senior Natasha Sundby led the way, winning BB and FX.  Teammate Taylor Allex added a win on the VT and the AA (39.175).  Carissa Kraus completed the sweep with a win on UB for the Gym Devils.
