Air Force senior Tim Wang became the most-decorated gymnast in Air Force history this evening (April 22), as he captured a pair of All-America awards during the final day of competition at the NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championships in West Point, New York. Earning top-eight finishes on the parallel bars and in the all-around, Wang brought his career total of All-America accolades to an Academy-record four – two more than any other gymnast in program history.

Air Force Earns Seventh Straight Bid to NCAA Championships
The Air Force men’s gymnastics team, ranked 10th in the national standings, was selected to compete at the 2017 NCAA Championships in West Point, N.Y., the men’s gymnastics selection committee announced this afternoon (April 11). It is the seventh-straight year that the Falcons have advanced as a team to the National Qualifier.
Nathan Goff and Seth Cannon exceled in tonight's qualifying session of the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships at West Point and will advance to Saturday night's finals. Goff will compete on the parallel bars and Cannon on the floor exercise.

The 2017 season for the Navy gymnastics program drew to a close on Saturday night as Jonny Tang and Lucas Beltran represented the Mids at the finals of the NCAA Championships. Hosted at Army West Point in the Holleder Center, Tang competed for Navy in the all-around event, while Beltran tested himself in the event finals of the floor exercise and vault.
Navy Scores 400.65 Points at NCAA Championship Qualifying Meet
The Navy gymnastics team had a stellar showing at the NCAA Championships on Friday night as the Mids went toe-to-toe with nation’s best programs and recorded 400.65 points to place fifth overall in the second session of the qualifying meet. Competing as one of six teams at the Army West Point’s Holleder Center, Navy registered its highest-ever finish at the national meet as it outscored California by 0.4 points. With the combination of both the afternoon and night sessions, the Mids finished 11th overall of 12 teams.

The action on Friday begins at 7 p.m. with a championship qualifying session before potentially the team and selected individuals will have the chance to compete in the championship finals on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Navy Named as NCAA Gymnastics Championship Qualifier
The 2017 NCAA Men’s Gymnastics Championship qualifying selections were announced on Tuesday and Navy was one of 12 teams to garner a bid and a chance to compete for the national title in 10 days. The championship qualifying meet will take place Friday, April 21 at Army’s Christl Arena. Navy has now earned a spot in the NCAA Championship Qualifying Meet in each of the last two years. Prior to 2016, the last and only prior appearance by a Midshipmen team in the national meet was in 2009.
Navy Gymnastics Finishes Second at ECAC Championships
In a hard-fought postseason championship event, the Navy gymnastics team went head-to-head with William & Mary over six rotations at the ECAC Championships on Saturday. Competing as part of a five-team field at the University of Illinois-Chicago, the Mids led through four rotations before a late charge by the Tribe gave the team from Williamsburg a 404.7-402.55 victory at the UIC Pavilion. Army finished third with 392.45 points, while Springfield was fourth at 392.2 and UIC was fifth at 384.55.
West Point, N.Y. --- Austin Epperson and Kyle King claimed All-America awards on Saturday night at the 2017 NCAA Championships, capping off an incredible season for the Nebraska men's gymnastics team. In addition, Epperson grabbed a runner-up finish on floor with a score of 14.60. The Allen, Texas, native ends his Husker career with two All-American accolades, after claiming one on floor in 2016. King brought home his first All-America honor after finishing fifth on floor with 14.45.
West Point, N.Y. --- The No. 7 Nebraska men's gymnastics team made history Friday afternoon, advancing to the team finals at the NCAA Championships for the first time since 1999. The Huskers scored 413.050 to finish third in their session behind Stanford (420.450) and Ohio State (414.650). NU came ahead of Penn State (410.500), Michigan (406.950) and Air Force (403.800).

Lincoln, Neb. --- Nebraska men's gymnastics Head Coach Chuck Chmelka announced the addition of one gymnast to the program on Tuesday afternoon. Mitch Tyndall (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) will join the Huskers for the 2018 season. This is the second consecutive year that NU signed a gymnast from Canada, after Jake Bonnay joined the Huskers in 2017. Prior, Nebraska's roster hadn't included a Canadian since Martin Fournier (St. Hubert, Quebec), who was a Husker from 1999 to 2002.

The William & Mary athletics department was once again among the nation's most honored academic achievers, with the release of the NCAA Public Recognition Awards. The awards are given to the teams who registered an APR in the top 10 percent nationally in that sport, with this year's awards honoring achievement in the 2015-16 school year. W&M once again led the Colonial Athletic Association with nine teams earning recognition, and also led the state of Virginia (38 total awards) with UVA next closest with six.
