LSU leads the Women's National Rankings, as compiled by RoadToNationals, for the week of January 8th. It's an incomplete week for this first week of the season, with only 41 teams recording scores. Based on our observation of meets across the country, scoring variation was quite high, with some panels being quite strict and others were among the most permissive we've seen in quite some time (treating major errors quite lightly).

Wow quite a shock to look at the rankings and see CMU at #3. Anyone familiar with the program available to comment on there score? Once again, collegiate gymnastics has to do a better job at standardizing scoring or fans will not be able to understand why gymnasts get 9.9 at home and 9.75 away.
