Utah posted a 197.675 to easily defend its Big 12 title.  Denver was 2nd at 196.575, BYU 3rd at 196.175, ASU 4th at 195.225, Arizona 6th at 194.725 and WVU 6th at 194.25.  Avery Neff led Utah, winning the AA at 39.7, winning the FX at 9.975 and taking the UB title.  Teammate Cami Winger won BB with a 9.975 while Ute Makenna Smith won the VT.

Big 10 Conference: UCLA Defends Title

UCLA posted a 198.1 to defend its team title on Saturday.  MSU was 2nd at 197.457, Minnesota 3rd at 196.9, and Michigan 4th at 196.8.  From the 2nd session, Iowa was close behind in 5th at 196.7, followed by Ohio St, PSU, Rutgers, Washington, Maryland, Illinois and Nebraska. 

UCLA's Jordan Chiles led the way with a 39.825 AA win.  She also won the FX with a 10 and the BB at 9.95.  She also tied for the UB title with teammate Sydney Barros, Iowa's Aurelie Tran, Minnesota's Jordyn Lyden and Emma Slevin, and MSU's Sage Kellerman.  On VT, UCLA's Riley Jenkins tied with Minnesota's Arianna Ostrum for the title.

GEC Championships: Penn Wins Title

Penn posted a 195.025 to win the GEC Championship title.  In 2nd was Yale at 194.625, then Brown at 194.525 and Cornell 4th at 194.15.  Penn was led by a win on BB by Mimi Fletcher.  Teammate Manama Fofana tied for 1st on VT with Bridgeport's Nova Staruk.  Quaker Marissa Lassiter tied for 1st on UB with Brown's Liza Marcus.  SCSU's Abby Royer won the FX out of Session 1.  Abigail Kenney won the AA out of Session 1 with a 38.975.

Georgia won the first session of the SEC Championships, with a solid 197.45 score that will keep them in their current tank.  Missouri posted a 197.075 for 2nd, with Arkansas 3rd just 0.1 behind.  The big news is that Kentucky, with a 196.925, will move into the #16 seed.  As a regional host, they will pull the #1 team to their Regional.  Auburn struggled to a 195.3, after problems on BB.  

UGA was led by 1st place finishes from Autumn Reingold on UB and Nyla Aquino on FX.  Teammate Kelise Woolford tied for 1st on BB with GymBack Joscelyn Roberson.  Roberson was the top AAer in the session with a 39.575.  Mizzou's Hannah Horton posted the top mark on VT.

CMU Wins MAC Championships

CMU posted a 196.025 to win the MAC Championships.  Ball State was close behind in 2nd at 195.8, followed by Kent State in 3rd at 195.325, EMU 4th at 194.675, WMU 6th at 194.525, host BGSU 6th at 194.275, and NIU 7th at 193.675.  The mark secures CMU's spot in the play-in round, and pushes them temporarily into 31st place (with Arizona and Air Force left to go, a high of #30 or a low of #32).

Luciana Alvarado-Reid led CMU, winning the AA at 39.325 and tying for 1st on VT and BB.  Also sharing first on VT was Charlie Behner of Kent State, Karli Mercer and Jordanna Phillis of Ball State, Dawsyn Sallee of NIU and Lia Kmieciak of CMU.  NIU's Jocelyn Harbeck shared first on BB while Ball State's Mary Rose Bellan won the UB.  Kiara Thornton of host BGSU won the FX.

Event finals determined National Champions at the Men's USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals.  Greenville's Jaxon Clapper won FX and PB to lead all competitors.  Springfield's Peyton Cramer won PH, while Simpson's Brian Rollison won the R.  Army's Nick Lester won the VT, while Air Force's Tai Gopaul won the HB.

UNC posted a 196.025 to win their session.  It was not enough to challenge for a Top 16 seed, however.  The bigger story was Pitt, who struggled on their final event, BB, to fall out of contention for Regionals.  Rutgers becomes the final qualifier to Regionals.  For UNC, JoJo Valahovic posted the top mark on VT, while teammate Gwen Fink had the top mark on BB.  On FX, UNC's Kaya Forbes and Sydney Seabooks shared the top score.  Seabrooks also posted a 38.85 in the AA.   Pitt's Hallie Copperwheat had the top mark on UB.

ASU defeated WVU 195.225 to 194.25, in the first session at the Big 12s.  Kimberly Smith led ASU, posting the top mark in the AA at 39.2 and tying for the top mark on FX with teammate Delanie Kelly.  Gym Devil Lilia Purler posted the session's top mark on VT while teammate Reese Grolla had the top mark on BB.  WVU's Amber Lowe had the top mark on BB.  ASU was already locked into Regionals and will be a host team.

Iowa won the second session at the Big Ten Conference session, posting a 196.7 and moving ahead of PSU in the interim rankings.  Ohio State posted a 196.25 and PSU a 196.0, scores that will drop them out of the running for a Top 16 seed at Regionals.  Maryland posted a 195.3, which drops them to 6th of 8th thus far in the Big 10.  However, it should be enough to keep them in the Top 28 for Regionals. 

Iowa's Aurelie Tran was the top AAer in the session, and takes over the lead at 39.525.  She also posted the top mark thus far on UB.  She also tied for the top mark thus far on BB with teammate Sydney Turner.  JJ Coleman of Ohio State posted a 9.95 on FX, the mark of the session and tied for the highest thus far.  On VT, Iowa's Sophie Schriever and PSU's Ava Piedrahita posted the top mark of the session, but Illini Summer Clancy retains the overall lead out of Session 1.

W&M won the first session at the GEC Championships, while a fierce battle separated places 2 to 4, separated by 0.225 points.  W&M was led by 1st place scores from Kate Peebles on UB and Jasmine Hou on BB.  For Bridgeport, Abigail Kenney leads the AA with a 38.975 while Nova Staruk leads the VT.  Abby Royer posted the top mark on FX.

Race to Regionals: Mid-Weekend Update

Friday's meets greatly narrowed the field down to 37 teams for 36 spots at Regionals.  Now the focus will turn to the Top Seeds, which can disrupt anticipated Regional placements.

Army posted a 313.05 to win the Men's Collegiate Nationals.  Greenville was 2nd at 311.85, Navy 3rd at 310.75, Springfield 4th at 310.35, W&M 5th at 308.55, host Air Force 6th at 306.75 and Simpson 7th at 302.4.  It was the U.S. Military Academy's first every team title.  Navy's Jonah Soltz took the AA title.  The top qualifiers for the event finals include:  FX - Danilo Viciana, Navy  PH - Maddox Pebellon, Army  R - Blaise Rousseau, Springfield  VT - Matthew Petros, Navy  PB - Jaxon Clapper, Greenville  HB - Owen Carney, Springfield

SEMO won the MIC Championships hosted by Illinois State, posting a 194.95 to defeat the host's 194.55, TWU's 194.725 and Centenary's 189.325.  The title was SEMO's first in 11 years.  Taylor Ingle led SEMO, winning the AA at 39.275 and taking the VT.  Teammates Leah Davis and Jaly Jones tied for 1st on FX with TWU's Sophia Isbell and Kylie Minard.  TWU's Caroline Bowns won the UB.  For Illinois State, Ally Lau won the BB.

Rutgers posted a 195.7 to defeat Washington (195.475), Illinois 195.125 and Nebraska 195.075 at the first session of the Big 10s.  However, Washington's score was enough to keep them ahead of Rutgers and secure a spot in the Top 36.  Rutgers will have to see what Pitt scores on Saturday to see which squad claims the last spot.  Pitt will need a 195.65 to pass Rutgers. 

Rutgers was led by a win from Emily Leese on FX and Gabrielle Dildy in the AA at 39.325.  Washington's Lilly Tubbs tied for 1st on UB with Illini Chloe Cho, while Cho took the BB.  Illinois' Summer Clancy won the VT.
