Iowa advanced by easily defeating Arizona at the Corvallis Regional.  They will compete in the evening session on Friday once again.  Iowa's Nicole Chow tied on UB (with Arizona's Danielle Spencer-Bearham) and on BB (with teammate Clair Kaji and Arizona's Jenny Leung). Iowa's Lauren Guerin won FX while teammate Charlotte Sullivan won AA (39.175).  Arizona's Heather Swanson took the VT for the Gymcats.

GWU advanced to the Friday evening session of the Baton Rouge Regional after defeating Lindenwood 195.2 to 194.75.  GWU used a 49.15 on FX in the final rotation to break open the meet.  GWU's Alex Zois won the AA (39.175) and FX to lead the Colonials.  Teammate Cydney Crasa won the VT. Lindenwood's Andavea Alexander won BB and tied for 1st on UB with teammate Jordan Boogerd.

Illinois edged CMU 195.325 to 195.275 to advance to Friday's evening session in Ann Arbor.  CMU swept the individual events, but the Illini depth prevailed.  CMU's Denelle Pedrick won the AA (39.175), VT and tied on BB with teammate Skyler Memmel. CMU's Gianna Plaksa won UB while Chippewa Abiie Rose Zoeller won the FX.

NC State posted a 195.15 in the Round 1 session to advance to Friday's Session 2.  UNH posted a 194.9.  The Wolfpack used a strong 2nd half of the meet to come from behind and pass UNH.

Men's: Cal 396.15 at Stanford

Host Stanford posted a strong 417.4 to close out the regular season with a win over Cal.  Stanford's Brody Malone led the way, winning the AA with an 85.25.  He also won HB, PB, VT, and tied on FX with Cal's Aaron Mah.  Teammate David Jessen won the PH while Trevor DiGeroiamo won the R.

Gymnasts from Air Force, Army and Navy won all the event titles at the 2019 USA Gymnastics Men's Collegiate Nationals.

Men's: UIC 367.5 at Michigan 406.2

Michigan posted a strong 406.2 to post a win on Senior Day.  Sophomore Cameron Bock led the way, winning PH, HB and the AA (83.4).  Classmate Jacob Moore won FX.  Senior Marty Strech won VT while senior Matthew Whitaker took the PB.  The Wolverines also picked up a win from Emyre Cole on VT.

Navy won the Men's USA Gymnastics Colleagiate Team Title on Friday, posting a score of 400.7.  In the combined standings, ASU was 2nd at 393.55 while Air Force was third at 384.8, just ahead of W&M at 384.5.   Army was fifth at 383.2.  Ryan McVay,  a Navy sophomore, claimed the AA title.

SPU's Coach Tindall to Retire

SPU Head Coach Laurel Tindall will retire after 46 years at the school, including acting as Head Coach since 1975.  Under her guidance, SPU won 3 national team titles and 30 individual national titles in their division.  As a collegian, she was a two-time VT champion, 10 time All-American and a US National Team member at SPU and UW.

Air Force Wins MPSF Championship

Air Force took the MPSF title on Saturday, holding off an unexpected challenge from San Jose State 195.725 to 195.45.  UC Davis was just behind at 195.2.  UAA posted a 194.2 for 4th, while Sac State (192.425) and SPU (192.4) completed the field.  For Air Force, Anna Salamone won VT and UB, while Tyler Davis won FX with a 9.95. SJSU's Taylor Chan won the AA with a 39.3. UAA's Sophia Hyderally won BB.

UCLA Wins Pac 12 Championships

Utah broke 198 with a 198.025 but it wasn't enough as the UCLA took the Pac 12 title with a 198.4 in front of 8,621 fans.  Oregon St nipped Cal for third 196.6 to 196.575, with ASU close behind at 196.4.  Washington (196.175), Stanford (195.925) and Arizona (193.9) rounded out the earlier session.

LSU Wins Third Straight SEC Title

LSU won its third straight SEC title, posting a 197.9 to defeat Florida's 197.75 in front of 10,505 fans in New Orleans.  Bama finished third at 197.35, with UGA 4th at 197.0.  Arkansas posted a 196.475 for fifth, with AU in 6th at 196.375.  Kentucky struggled to a 196.225 while Missouri posted a 195.9.
