OU holds the top spot in the Men's Troester.com GymInfo National Rankings for the week of March 19th.  PSU is in 2nd and Stanford is third. 

The Men's rankings from Troester GymInfo switch this week to the "Four Meet Average".  To get this average, the four highest scoring meets are taken, of which no more than two are home meets, the high score dropped, and the remaining three are averaged.

Individually, Jake Dalton of OU holds the top spot in the AA.  He is also the leader on floor and PB.  With the new average methodology, Stanford's Gabe Alvarado and John Martin hold the top spot on PH.  Teammate Eddie Penev ranks first on vault.  PSU's Scott Rosenthal remains the top Ring man.   On the pipe, Illini Paul Ruggeri retains his lead.

SUU 194.8 at BYU 194.25

SUU defeated BYU in a rare Monday afternoon contest.  Alyssa Click led SUU, winning the beam and tying for the bars title with BYU's Kaycee Gassaway and Natalie Eyre-Pickard.  Eyre-Pickard also tied for the vault title with teammate Krysten Koval.  SUU's Brittney Jensen and BYU's Mickell Merrell tied for the floor title. 

With those scores, BYU does not improve their 34th place in the standings.  SUU retains a shot at Regionals.

2012-13 Stebick to Rutgers

Katie Stebick, L10 at Lakettes Gymnastics in Pennsylvania, has committed to Rutgers.  She qualified to regionals last season.  This season finished 2nd AA (1st BB) at the Black Eyed Susan, 6th AA at the Rock and Roll Classic and 4th AA at the Rochester Classic.

The Race for the Regionals is heading into its final week!  Check back on Tuesday for a full recap of the potential shifts during the last weekend of competition.  The Top 18 rankings have tightened up, with several teams contending for a seeded position at Regionals.  The race for the top 36 Regional qualifiers is also intense; several teams still have a shot at post-season competition.   

Florida continues to hold the top space in the rankings, just ahead of OU.  Bama is now #3.

Washington 196.25 at Cal 191.775

Washington defeated host Cal on their Senior Night, posting a solid 196.25 to raise their RQS to 195.595 (22nd).  Washington's Ruby Engreitz, McKenzie Fechter and Lauren Rogers eached picked up a share of two individual titles.  Engreitz won bars and tied for the floor title with Rogers.  Rogers tied for the vault title with Fechter, who also won the AA with a 39.225.  Teammate Paige Bixler completed the sweep with a win on beam.

Cornell 192.425 at Kent State 196.025

Kent State posted a 196.025 on Senior Night, helping to raise their RQS to a 195.085 (27th).  The effort was led by Marie Case, who won the AA with a 39.275.  She also won the beam with a 9.925 and the floor with a 9.95, including a 10 from one judge.  Teammate Rachel Goldenberg won the vault while Erin Rothrock and Rachel Guida tied for the bars title.

Towson 195.25 at GWU 193.925

Towson powered to a 195.25, led by a standout performance by Kacy Catanzaro.  She won the AA with a 39.4, and collected titles on vault, bars, and beam.  Teammate Brittney Russell won the floor.

W&M sophomore Jessica Pritchard won FX and the AA with a career-high 38.95, but it wasn't enough as visiting Temple downed W&M.  Teammates Kristin Milardo, Carleigh Wrobel and Brandy Stover won vault, bars and beam, respectively.

Men's: Illinois 350.45 at Iowa 337.8

The Illini defeated host Iowa, led by CJ Maestas' 86.7 AA tally.  Maestas won floor and rings with matching 15.6s and also tied for the vault title.

Top ranked OU defeated NU and Air Force handily, despite competing without star Jake Dalton (who was at the Pacific Rim Championships).  In his absence, six different Sooners captured event titles, including a meet-high 15.35 on floor from Raymond White.

Men's: Minnesota 347.9 at PSU 359.3

PSU posted the nation's highest mark to defeat visiting Minnesota. Parker Raque led the Nittany Lions, winning floor and vault.  Teammate Felix Aronovich posted an excellent 87.15 to win the AA, tying for first on p-bars.

Host W&M equalled their season high but it wasn't enough as Temple took the tri-meet.  For Temple, Logan Fiery won high bar, John Leonard took the floor, and Dash Sears tied for the Rings title with Army's Alex Ganz.

Men's: UIC 325.45 at Michigan 342.8

Michigan frosh Stacey Ervin won the vault and floor to help Michigan to a win over UIC.  Rohan Sebastian won the AA with an 84.05.

Minnesota edged DU at home, winning the quad meet with a 196.225.  Minnesota improved their RQS to 195.88, surpassing DU, who edged up to 195.865.  Iowa improved slightly to 194.995. 

Moriah Martin led DU, winning the vault and tying for the bars and floor titles with teammate Melodie Pulgarin Linero.  She posted a 39.45 to win the AA.  Teammate Jorie Hall won the beam.

Illinois Wins State of Illinois Classic

Illinois set a new season high to win the State of Illinois Classic.  In 2nd was UIC with a 194.55, followed by Illinois State (194.5) and NIU (193.05).  The Illini pushed their RQS up to 195.545 with the win.  UIC inched up to 194.865, moving closer to locking down a spot at Regionals.  Illinois State and NIU will not qualify.

Individually, Alina Weinstein led the Illini.  She won the AA with a 39.425, tying for first on vault with teammate Amber See and first on vault with teammate Jaclyn Kantecki.  Teammate Kelsey Joannides won the beam and tied for the floor title with NIU's Tanya Rachan.

Kentucky 195.825 at Centenary 192.825

Kentucky posted a big road score with a 24 for 24 performance to close out the regular season, defeating Centenary.  Kentucky's RQS rises to 195.49, pushing them ahead of Iowa State.

UK's Audrey Harrison set a career-high 39.25 to win the AA.  Senior teammate Storey Morris tied with frosh Kenzie Hedges for the vault title.  Teammate Caitlyn Ciokajlo won bars, while Kayla Hartley won floor.  Kayla Sienkowski and Shannon Mitchell tied for the beam title to complete the sweep.
