The College Sports Information Directors of America announced the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America Division I Men's and Women's At-Large teams on Thursday. The Naval Academy was recognized on the Men's At-Large Team with a pair of Midshipmen student-athletes. Earning a spot on the second team was wrestler Corey Wilding, while gymnast Christian Correale was honored on the third team.

One night after finishing 11th in the NCAA Championship Qualifying Meet as a team, the Mids were represented in the premier collegiate championship event by David Toussaint on the pommel horse, Trevor North on the parallel bars, and Frank Bradley and Lucas Beltran on the vault.

Competing in the NCAA Championship Qualifying Meet for the third time in three years, the Navy gymnastics team once again came through when the bright lights of the premier national championship shown. One of six teams in the first qualifying session on Friday afternoon at the UIC Pavilion, the Mids posted a score of 390.921 to finish fifth. The team's effort was spearheaded by four members, who advanced to compete in the NCAA Championship Finals on Saturday. Lucas Beltran (Corpus Christi, Texas) and Frank Bradley (McLean, Va.) advanced to the finals on the vault, while Trevor North (Johnstown, Ohio) moved on for the parallel bars and David Toussaint (Warren, Ohio) progressed on the pommel horse.
Navy Gymnastics Readies for 2018 NCAA Championship Action
The Navy men's gymnastics team will begin competition at the 2018 NCAA Championship meet on Friday afternoon at the UIC Pavilion on the campus of the University of Illinois Chicago. Friday's qualifying meet marks the third straight year that the Mids' will be participating in the national championship event. The action on Friday begins at 2 p.m. with the first championship qualifying session. The top-three finishing teams from each of those two sessions and select individuals will advance to compete in Saturday's championship finals at 7 p.m.
Four Huskers Named All-Americas, Team Finishes Fifth
Chicago – Connor Adamsick, Griffin Kehler, Chris Stephenson and Anton Stephenson claimed All-America awards on Saturday night at the 2018 NCAA Championships, solidifying an already successful season for the Nebraska men's gymnastics team.
Chicago – The Nebraska men's gymnastics team advanced to the NCAA finals for the second year in a row after a third-place finish at the NCAA Qualifiers on Friday afternoon. It's the first time since 1995 that the Huskers have advanced to the team finals for two consecutive years. Nebraska finished behind Stanford (407.390) and Minnesota (404. 758) in the first of two qualifying sessions. Michigan (400.590), Navy (390.921) and Air Force (385.688) also competed in the session, but will not advance to the team finals. Session two is set for tonight at 6 p.m. and will feature Oklahoma, Illinois, Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa and California. The top three in that session will also advance to the team finals, which will take place on Saturday, April 21, at 6 p.m.
