The 11th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team captured its eighth consecutive team title at the All-Academy Championships this afternoon (Feb. 10) in San Antonio, as it registered a season-high score of 403.850 to easily defeat service academy rivals from No. 9 Navy (400.200) and No. 14 Army West Point (399.550).
No. 11 Air Force Heads to All-Academy Championships
The 11th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team heads to San Antonio, Texas, this weekend to face No. 9 Navy and No. 14 Army West Point at the All-Academy Championships on Saturday, Feb. 10. The Falcons have claimed the last seven team titles in the annual neutral-site, service academy showdown.
The 11th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics team registered a season-high total of 400.450 this afternoon (Feb. 3) during a home contest against seventh-ranked Minnesota (413.250). Senior Fletcher Braunton nabbed an event title on the still rings, as the Falcons surpassed the 400-point mark for the first time this season – just the ninth team in the country to reach that standard.
The 10th-ranked Air Force men's gymnastics completed a perfect road trip to the East Coast this afternoon (Jan. 28), as it downed Springfield College by a 397.100-387.200 margin at Blake Arena. The Falcons, who defeated Army West Point on Friday night, captured four first-place finishes on the day.
The Army West Point gymnastics team won big on senior day Saturday with a team score of 385.000. Nathan Goff championed the parallel bars and Cole Casanova won the floor exercise to help the Black Knights top Springfield and William & Mary in the final home event of the season.
Fighting Illini Host No. 8 Michigan for Senior Day
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The seventh-ranked Illinois men's gymnastics team returns home for Senior Day, as the team welcomes No. 20 Michigan to Huff Hall on Saturday, February 24. Competition is set to begin at 3 p.m. CT.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The University of Illinois continues celebration of its incredible athletics legacy by announcing its Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2018. Some of the greatest names in Illini sports history comprise the 21-person Class of 2018, including coaches and record-holders from 12 different sports.
No. 9 Navy Surpasses 400-Point Mark on Saturday Night at No. 1 Oklahoma
Faced with the daunting task of walking into and competing in the gym of the three-time defending NCAA National Champions, the Oklahoma Sooners, the Navy gymnastics team was game to the challenge and scored its second highest score of the 2018 season with 401.3 points. On the strength of the highest team score in the entire NCAA for 2018, the Sooners took the team victory in the meet at McCasland Field House with a 429.55-401.3 final.
The Navy gymnastics team will test itself this Saturday night with a road matchup versus the top-ranked and three-time defending NCAA champion Oklahoma Sooners. The meet between the Mids (4-1) and the Sooners (4-0) at McCasland Field House is set to begin at 8 pm ET (7 pm-CT).
Navy Finishes Second at All-Academy Gymnastics Championship
One of the most competitive and closest All-Academy Championships in recent history was held on Saturday in San Antonio. The three-team showdown between the service academies was decided by a total of 4.3 points between the first place Air Force Falcons (403.85) and the third place Army Black Knights (399.55). Navy ended up in second place with a score of 400.2. The competition was part of the San Antonio Invitational and held at the Concepcion Sports Complex.
2018 All-Academy Gymnastics Championship Up Next for Navy
One week after an emphatic Star Meet victory over Army at home, the No. 9 Navy gymnastics team will test itself on the road at the 2018 All-Academy Championship on Saturday afternoon. Taking place as part of the San Antonio Gymnastics Invitational, the three-way meet between service academy rivals promises to be a tight competition as Air Force comes into the meet ranked 11th, while Army sits 14th. The action at the Mission Concepcion Sports Complex is slated to begin at 2 pm ET (1 pm-CT).
Gymnastics' Tanner West Named NAAA Athlete of the Week
In recognition of his large role in Navy's 402.9-391.7 victory over Army in the 2018 Star Meet, sophomore Tanner West was voted as the Naval Academy Athletic Association Athlete of the Week. The Texas native led the Mids with first place finishes on the rings and parallel bars, as well as fourth place results on the vault and high bar.
Iowa City, Iowa – The No. 5 Nebraska men's gymnastics team hit another landmark this season as they beat Iowa at Carver Arena for the first time since 2005. The Huskers topped the Hawkeyes 402.800 – 398.500 with a number of career-bests. Griffin Kehler led the way for the Huskers, claiming the floor title with a career-high 14.40. Antonio Castro shared the pommel horse title with senior Hawkeye Austin Hodges, as both gymnasts notched 14.20. Anton Stephenson also shared the vault title with Iowa's Dylan Ellsworth (14.85).
Iowa City, Iowa - The No. 5 Nebraska men's gymnastics team heads to Iowa City, Iowa to take on the No. 10 Hawkeyes on Friday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. After a weekend off due to the Winter Cup Challenge, the Huskers face a tough Hawkeye squad who is looking for their first win of the season.
Las Vegas, Nev. - Kyle King, Chris Stephenson and Griffin Kehler represented the Nebraska men's gymnastics team at the Winter Cup Finals on Saturday at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. Kehler finished 19th, King finished 22nd and Stephenson finished 23rd overall out of 28 competitors.

Las Vegas, Nev. - Kyle King, Antonio Castro, Chris Stephenson, Josh Martin and Griffin Kehler of the Nebraska men's gymnastics team have been invited to represent the Huskers at the prestigious Winter Cup in Las Vegas, Nev., and will get a shot at making the USA National Team. 2016 Olympians Sam Mikulak and Alex Naddour, along with reigning U.S. champion and World bronze medalist Yul Moldauer are also expected to compete. The competition is a two-day event and will feature 48 senior athletes competing in the Preliminary sessions on Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m. The top 28 will qualify into finals on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 7:15 p.m. Top finishers at the finals will be selected to compete for the USA National Team.
In addition to being named the Big Ten Gymnast of the Week, redshirt senior Sean Melton of Ohio State men's gymnastics has been named the NCAA Gymnast of the Week for his efforts at the 2018 Winter Cup.
Sean Melton (165.600) and Alec Yoder (164.800) scored great two-day totals in the all-around at the 2018 Winter Cup (Feb. 15 & 17) to retain their spots on the U.S men's senior national gymnastics team until the 2018 P&G Championships take place in August. The readouts of 165.600 and 164.800 were the fifth and sixth best scores of the meet.
Four gymnasts from Ohio State are headed to Las Vegas to compete at the 2018 Winter Cup. The event features the top gymnasts in American and each athlete will be competing for a spot on the U.S. National team. There will be three total sessions, two on Thrusday and one on Saturday, at the the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino.
MGYM Answers Adversity with Solid Vault and Rings Performances
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - In the midst of "We Are" chants and the chaotic double-dual atmosphere, the Penn State men's gymnastics team maintained its cool throughout a close bout and an even narrower finish. Although the Penn State Nittany Lions fell to the Minnesota Golden Gophers 404.350 to 402.400, the Nittany Lions contested their adversity through strong performances on vault and rings.

David Watkins Honored as ECAC Specialist of the Week
