Nicole Daylton posted a meet-high 9.95 to lead the Cardinal to victory. Teammates Ivana Hong and Amanda Spinner tied for the beam title, while teammate Ashley Morgan tied for the bars title with UC Davis' Michelle Ho. San Jose State's Julia Greer won the FX while Sac State's Kalliah McCartney won the AA.

Michigan posted a big 196.575 to defeat BYU (194.475) and Oregon State (193.6) at the Cancun Classic. It was the highest ever opening score for the Wolverines. Junior Joanna Sampson posted a career-high 39.425 to win the AA, with sophomore Sachi Sugiyama in 2nd. Sampson won the vault and tied for the bars title with teammate Sugiyama and BYU's Raquel Willman. Sugiyama also won the FX while teammate Katie Zurales won the Beam.

Coach D-D Breaux notched her 600th career win as the Tigers rolled to their highest season opening total in history. They were paced by Rheagan Courville, who posted a 9.975 on FX en route 39.5 AA win. She also won the beam title. Teammate Sarie Morrison won the vault and bars.

Florida powered to a 196.575, let by Kytra Hunter's wins on UB and FX. Ashanee Dickerson was Florida's only AAer, and she won the title. Frosh Bridget Sloan made her debut and tied for the vault title with Dickerson. Mackenzie Caquatto won the beam.

Alyssa Baumann, an junior elite from WOGA, has committed to Florida according to Gym-style, her webmaster. Alyssa competed at US Nationals in 2010 after making the jump to elite from L9. She won her L9 Western national meet that year.
Elana Molotsky, L10 from Jersey Jets Gymnastics, will join the Cornell team this fall. Elana qualified to regionals in 2011 and 2012.
Arianna Ruth, L10 at Desert Lights in Arizona, has committed to Arizona State. Last season she finished 1st AA at her state meet and went on to qualify to the NIT, where she finished 19th AA.
Anna and Grace Glenn, L10s from Southeastern in North Carolina, have committed to UCLA. At the 2012 Region 8 Championships, Anna placed 1st AA, 2nd(t) on VT and UB and 2nd on BB. She was 1st UB, 2nd BB and 4th VT at 2012 JO Nationals. Grace finished 2nd AA, 1st VT and BB and 3rd FX at the 2012 Region 8 Championships. At 2012 JO Nationals, she was 3rd(t) AA and 4th(t) UB. Grace is a member of the 2012 JO National Team.
