Coming Soon

Teams ranked #13 to #25 will be published by 1/3/23

This year's recruiting class features sets of recruits both large and small, and packed with talent.  The discrepancies in size between the classes presents a challenge when rating classes.  A large class could easily rise up in the rankings, without considering the disproportionate impact of key high scoring gymnasts.  The aftereffects of the extra COVID years is still impacting the size of the classes and the new opportunities with Name Image and Likeness (NIL) may be starting to influence recruiting choices.  This is also perhaps one of the last classes where many of the commits were made quite early.  At least one gymnast in this class committed to her college when she was just 13.  Let's see how all the top teams stack up in the 2022-2023 edition of our annual look at the Top 10 Recruiting Classes.

CollegeGymFans.com Recruit Ratings Released

We are introducing a new feature to the site, replacing the former Recruitables Database we used to have in place.  We are now releasing ratings of the top recruits in the Class of 2022 (this year's frosh) and the Class of 2023 (the next incoming class).  The 2024 list will be published in the spring.  We have introduced a rating system that uses the same objective criteria as our annual recruiting class rankings, but encoded in a set o rules that assigns star ratings to clusters of gymnasts.  The full explanation is here or available from the top menu bar, under Recruits --> Recruit Ratings.

2023 Recruit Ratings

The ratings were done by applying a predominantly objective and quantitative rating system that is explained in this article:  LINK

Fine differences in levels of achievement, skills competed, execution, scores and placements may impact a gymnast's rating.  All are very accomplished and skilled gymnasts, and many talented gymnasts are not included here.  If you feel an athlete should have qualified to the list, due to missing data or video evidence please use the contact information to send in the athlete's name, and if possible provide a link to the missing qualifying information.

Ratings will be finalized in August 2023, prior to the start of an athlete's freshman year.  At that time, uncommitted athletes will be removed.  Known deferrals have been moved to the 2024 list.  All athletes within a star category are listed in alphabetic order, not in rated order.

FINAL Revision:  12/28/23  *Updated remove deferrals, add early grads and make corrections
