Men's World Championship Squad Includes Several Collegians

The US squad for the upcoming World Championships includes several present and past NCAA stars.  Previously named to the team were former Cal star Tim McNeill and OU grad Jonathan Horton, as well as current Sooner Steven Legendre.  The OU pair will be joined by incoming frosh Jake Dalton and former Illinois star Wes Haagensen.  Current Illini Daniel Ribeiro is the alternate.

Kent State Announces Incoming Class of Seven

Kent State has announced their incoming class of seven athletes. The four signees are Rachel Guida, Sarah Moore, Lindsay Runyun, and Stephanie Smart. The Golden Flashes also add three walkons: Felicia Charles, Kaitlyn Darter and Lauren Wozniak. The commits of all seven were carried in previous news items at the site. Link: Kent State Release

Karkowski Named Assistant at Pittsburgh

Terry Karkowski has been named the assistant at Pittsburgh. Karkowski has been the Head Coach at Western Michigan for the past 13 seasons. Her husband is an assistant soccer coach at Pitt. Link: Pitt Release

VISA Championships: Ross Wins Junior Women's Title

Kyla Ross won the junior women's title at the 2009 VISA (US) Championships. Link: USA Gymnastics

Bridget Sloan won the Senior Women's AA title at the 2009 VISA (US) Championships. Ivana Hong was a close second, and first day leader Rebecca Bross was 3rd. Kayla Williams was the vault champion (2 vaults), while Hong won the BB. Sloan won individual titles on the UB and FX.  Link: USA Gymnastics

VISA Championships: Horton Wins Men's Title

VISA Championships: Junior Men

Cameron Rogers won the men's 16-18 year old division at the VISA (US) Championships yesterday. He also captured titles on R and PB. Jesse Silverstein was 2nd. PSU incoming Parker Raque won the FX and future teammate Mackenzie Dow tied for the VT title with Zachery Chase. Dylan Akers won PH and Jordan Valdez won HB.
