Olympics: Men's Team Final

The Men's Team final at the Rio 2016 Olympics concluded this afternoon, with a thrilling race for medals.

Japan came from behind to capture the title with a total of 274.094 points.  Russia, the early leader, help off a fierce charge from China for the silver (271.453 to 271.122).  China also suffered early mistakes and came up just short, after huge team totals in the final two rounds (PB and HB).   The US suffered mistakes on the first routine of the night, FX, and ended the event well off  their sensational team total from the prelims.  However, they battled back but made a few too many mistakes to keep up with the medalists.  The UK was fourth, with Max Whitlock hitting a 15.991 on his final PH to hold off the Americans.
