Florida commit Danielle Ferris has accelerated her classes and will join the Gators early.  She was set to join in 2024-2025 but will now join the Gators next season.  Signee Skye Blakely will defer until 2024-2025 season to train for the Olympics.

The NCAA transfer portal has been open since Tuesday, March 21st.  Here are some of the gymnasts that have declared their intent.

Iowa State has announced a coaching change:  Head Coach Jay Roynane will depart after 17 years.  The Cyclones failed to make Regionals for only the 2nd time since 1996-1997 (excluding the abbreviated 2019-2020 season).

USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals: Semi-Finals

Session 1 winner Lindenwood (195.625) and Air Force (193.85) will join Session 2 winner TWU (195.475) and SEMO (194.3) in the Finals at the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals.  The Finals will be held Friday.  Air Force's Velandra Brochi won the AA title, edging Lindenwood's Jaly Jones with a 39.125 to 39.1.  SEMO's Lydia Webb was third.

2023-4 Olivia Mile to W&M

Pitts has announced a coaching change and that former Head Coach Samantha Snider will be departing the program.  Pitt failed to qualify for Regionals, an event they hosted.   Pitt AD Heather Lyke said, "Watching the NCAA Gymnastics Regional Championships at the Petersen Events Center this past weekend only reinforced my belief that our program can be a major contender in the ACC and nationally".  This begins the annual post-season coaching shuffle, as well as the potential recruiting shuffles.

OU placed first in the final National Rankings for the week of March 20th, as compiled by RoadToNationals.com.  The teams are ordered by taking their last Regionals score and adding it to their final NQS score.  The teams are clustered by how far they advanced through the Championships:  Top 8, Top 16, Top 32, Top 36 and final NQS.    

Host Denver won the Denver Regional with a 197.875, despite missing standout Rylie Mundell  LSU and Michigan tied at 197.75 but LSU triumphed in the tiebreaker (all six score count).  Oregon State was just behind at 197.65.  Michigan loses the tiebreaker with LSU for 3rd. Oregon St just behind at 197.65. Denver's Lynnzee Brown won AA with a 39.8, won VT and tied for 1st on FX with LSU's Haleigh Bryant.  Bryant also won UB at 9.975.On BB, DU's Bella Mabanta and Oregon St's Jade Carey tied for 1st at 9.975.  Just another reminder that every score matters and that every last step, hop and wobble can make the difference.

Cal posted a 198.075 to win the Pittsburgh Regional and advance to Nationals.  Also making the cut was Florida, who placed 2nd at 197.8.  MSU was not far behind at 197.6 while ASU was a step back at 197.475.  For UF, star Trinity Thomas missed the competition, while MSU could have used the standout VTs of frosh Sage Kellerman.  Cal's eMjae Frazier won FX (9.975) to seal the win. UF's Leanne Wong won the AA (39.775), BB and UB (both 9.975). UF's Payton Richards and ASU's Anaya Smith tied for 1st on VT.

Utah posted a 198.05 and UCLA a 197.925 to break away from Missouri and secure the two spots to the National meet.  Missouri posted a 197.6 and Washington a 195.65.  The meet was virtually tied heading into the final round, but Utah hit FX for a big 49.6 while UCLA hit VT for a 49.5 while Mizzou ran into the tougher scoring event, UB.  UCLA frosh Selena Harris captured the AA title with a 39.75, including a tie for 1st on VT at 10 with Utah's Jaedyn Rucker and a tie for 1st on BB with Utes Kara Eaker and Maile O'Keefe.  Bruin Jordan Chiles won FX with a 10 and UB with a 9.975.

Stanford powered to the MPSF title with a big win over OU, AF and Cal.  They were led by Asher Hong, who posted an 83.7 to win the AA.  He also took the PB.  Teammate Khoi Young won PH (14.75) while Cardinal Mark Berlaga won R.  Stanford's Zach Martin and Taylor Burkhart tied for 1st on VT.  AF's Garrett Braunton won HB while OU's Emre Dodanli won FX.

Men's: Navy Wins ECAC Championships

Navy posted a 395.65 to easily win the ECAC Championships.  Springfield was 2nd at 386.85, W&M 3rd at 384.25 and Army 4th at 377.65.  Greenville was not far behind at 377.25 and Simpson rounded out the field at 346.85.  Navy was led by wins from Connor Van Loo and Syam Buradagunta on FX, Isaiah Drake on PB and Giovanni Gambatese on HB.  W&M's Christian Marsh won R while Springfield's Dominic Ramalho won the AA title at 77.25.
