Blair Elmore, L10 at Champions in Texas, has committed to Missouri. In 2011,she finished 13th AA at her state meet, 10th AA at regionals and 14th AA at the NIT.

Ashlyn Broussard, L10 at WOGA in Texas, has accepted a scholarship offer to Georgia, per the WOGA facebook page. Last season, Broussard finished 1st AA (1st FX) at the WOGA Classic and picked up a number of individual event titles throughout the season. She placed 4th AA at her state meet, 2nd AA (1st V/BB/FX) at regionals and 10th AA at JOs.
Baely Rowe, L10 at Auburn Gymnastics in Washington, has accepted a scholarship to Utah for the 2013-14 season according to her club's facebook page. Last season Rowe won the Battle in Seattle (1st AA, 1st V/UB/FX); the Crystal Cup (1st AA, 1st UB); the MAC Open (1st AA, 1st V/BB) and the March Madness meet (1st AA; 1st V/UB/BB). She finished 1st AA (1st V/UB/FX) at her state meet, 1st AA (1st V/UB/BB/FX) at regionals and 7th AA at JO Nationals.

Nicole Medvitz, L10 at ENA Paramus in New Jersey, has committed to Penn State according for Gym-Style.com, which maintains her personal website. Medvitz, the reigning national beam champion, won several bars and beam titles throughout the 2011 season. She finished 1st AA (1st UB/BB) at her state meet, 2nd AA (1st BB) at her regional meet, and 17th AA (1st BB) at JOs.
Taylor Allex, a L10 at Classic Gymnastics in Minnesota, has committed to Utah, according to her club's web site. At the 2011 L10 Junior Olympic Nationals, she placed 5th AA, 2nd on UB, 6th(t) on BB and 10th(t) on VT. She also tied for 22nd AA in 2010.

Jaelyn Olsen, L10 at Mat Trotters in Oklahoma, has accepted a scholarship offer from Northern Illinois. Last season she won vault and bars titles at the Arctic Blast and vault, bars and beam titles at the Tulsa World meet. She finished off her season with an AA win at the NIT.
NC State has announced the hiring of former Illinois Head Coach Bob Starkell as an assistant.

Katie Sassa, L10 at Silvia's in Pennsylvania, has committed to Towson. Sassa was a 3 time Region 7 qualifier, two-time JO NIT qualifier and Pennsylvania State beam champion. At the 2011 NIT, Katie finished her season with 2nd AA, vault and 3rd on beam.
Chanen Raygoza, L10 at Wildfire Gymnastics in California, has posted her committed to Georgia on her website. Last season Raygoza won the San Diego Classic (1st AA, 1st V/BB); the SCEGA Classic (1st AA, 1st V/UB); and the Malibu Coast Challenge, where she swept the events. She finished 2nd AA at the SoCal meet, 2nd (1st V/FX) at her regional meet and 3rd AA in the Sr. B Session at JOs.
Charity Jones, L10 at Dynamo in Oklahoma, has committed to OU according to an announcement on her club's website. Jones had a strong 2011 season, winning the Trojan Classic and Metroplex Challenge and picking up various individual titles throughout the regular season. In the post season, she finished 1st AA (1st UB/BB/FX) at her state meet, 4th AA at regionals and 1st AA (1st V) at JOs.
It's been ten years since the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. Today we honor the heroes of September 11th, 2001, including those who lost their lives. One of those people, Mari-Rae Sopper, closely touched the collegiate gymnastics community. As you may know, Mari-Rae Sopper was Head Coach of the University of California, Santa Barbara's women's gymnastics team. She was also a former standout collegiate gymnast and team captain for Iowa State. Many of you knew her in the capacity of coach, teammate, competitor, colleague and friend.
