Jordan Hand from Sun Country Sports has committed to West Virginia. She qualified to regionals in 2017. She competed one event at her 2018 state meet and missed the rest of the championship season.
Jacey Vore from JPAC has committed to Arkansas. Her 2018 was highlighted by a 2nd place finish at the Nastia Liukin Cup. She placed 1st on bars, floor and the all around at her state meet. Her 4th place finish at regionals propelled her to JOs and a 23rd place finish.
Sophia Leblanc from the Massachusetts Gymnastics Center has committed to Maryland. Her 5th place regional finish qualified her to the 2018 JOs where she finished 48thAA
Bama has added Aja Sims as a volunteer assistant.

Kaitlyn Lyle from Airborne Gymnastics has committed to UC Davis. Last season she finished 1st on bars, beam and floor and 3rd AA at her NorCal meet. She placed 1st on bars and beam and 5th AA at regionals. She finished her season with a 31st place finish at JOs.
Rayna Guggino from Tampa Bay Turners has committed to EMU. In the 2016 season, she competed to a 4th place finish at the L9 Eastern Championships. She earned mostly top 10 scores through the 2017 season, but her season ended prior to the post season.
Brenna Brooks, a L10 from WOGA, is heading to Washington a year early, after signing an NLI this week. Her original commit was covered in a prior news item.

Gayla Griswold from Cypress Pointe Gymnastics has committed to Lindenwood. Last season she finished 1st on fx and 2nd AA at the Louisiana state meet and 4th AA at regionals. She finished 21st AA at JOs.
Natalia Pawlak from Aerial Gymnastics has committed to Pitt. She qualified to Region 3 regionals in 2018 and finished 13th AA.

UGA has hired Jason Vonk as an assistant. He was an assistant at GWU this past season. Prior to that, he spent six seasons at Yale.

Utah has hired Carly Dockendorf as a new DIrector of Recruiting and Player Development. She had been serving as a volunteer assistant and choroegrapher to the Ute squad this season. She's a former assistant gymnastics and track & field coach at SPU, and a former two-sport All-American at Washington.

I have had several parents tell me that there is an unspoken pressure in their club gyms when it comes to recruiting. Some parents are very open about their daughters being recruited and others keep things quiet. At best, it can be a very awkward time for everyone because the pressure is on to get their daughters recruited.
