Josh Nilson has been named Assistant Coach according to a USAF Gymnastics tweet. An official announcement has not been posted on their web page yet. Nilson was briefly named Head Coach at EMU. His coaching credentials including stints at PSU and USU.
Interim Head Coach John Court has added Dianna Renalli as Assistant Coach and Andrea Snyder-Petersen as Volunteer Coach.
On September 11th, 2001, newly hired UCSB (California Santa Barbara) Head Coach Mari-Rae Sopper, a former standout at Iowa State, lost her life during the tragic events of that fateful day. Mya Hooten from Rising Stars Gymnastics has committed to Minnesota. She qualified to 2017 regionals where she won the floor event and placed 4th AA. She placed 7th AA at JOs.
Naomi Morrison of Arizona Dynamics has committed to OSU. She was 1st on vault and 3rd AA at her 2017 state meet. She was 1st on vault and 2nd AA at regionals. She finished 12th AA at JOs.
