UNH has hired Lindsey (Bruck) Ayotte and Harris Bergman as assistants. Bruck is a former Michigan star who has been performing and coaching with Cirque du Soleil. Bergman is a former gymnast and diver who has been serving as a volunteer assistant at Pittsburgh. Former associate Head Coach Ed Datti has retired and will serve as a volunteer.

Jr. Elite gymnast Shilese Jones has announced her commitment to Florida. She trains at Buckeye in Ohio. This season she placed 19th AA at the Secret Classic and 7th AA at the P&G Championships.
Former Florida commit Laurie Hernandez has chosen to forgo her NCAA eligibility and turn professional. She will continue to train elite through Tokyo.

Lauren Navarro has announced her commitment to Stanford. She competes as an Elite from Charter Oaks. This season she placed 1st AA at the American Classic and 6th AA at the Secret Classic. She placed 14th AA at the P&G Championships.
Florida has added transfer Rachel Slocum to their incoming class for 2016-2017. A star at EMU, the rising junior made the NCAAs as an individual on FX in 2016 but especially excels on vault, where she throw a 10.0 start value rated pike front-half.

GWU announced that Cydney Crassa, Ryan Finkelstein, Jenna Horner, Nicole Rogalski and Brooke Bray will join the Colonials for 2016-2017. Bray is a transfer from Auburn. The commits of Crasa and Horner were covered in prior news items.
Rogalski is a L10 from the 10.0 Academy who originally committed to Minnesota. She finished 24th AA at the 2016 L10 JO Nationals. She also finished 28th AA at the 2014 L10 Nationals. Link: Videos
Finkelstein is a first year L10 from Galaxy. She was 9th AA at the 2015 Region VI Level 9 Regionals.

Shelbi Spivey, L10 at Zero Gravity, has committed to Seattle Pacific. After finishing 9th AA at her 2016 state meet, she won the AA title at regionals and also placed 1st on bars. She placed 14th AA at JOs.
Carissa Ludwig, L10 from Stars and Stripes Gymnastics, has committed to Western Michigan. She placed 1st AA at her 2016 state meet. She was 1st on vault and 4th AA at regionals and 19th AA at JOS.
Natalie Morton, L10 from Texas Dreams, has committed to Denver. She placed 2nd AA and 1st on beam at her 2016 state meet. She placed 1st AA and 1st on bars at regionals and 6th AA at JOs.
Payton Bellows, L10 at Daggett Gymnastics, has committed to Arizona. She finished 1st AA and 1st on bars at her 2016 state meet. In a near sweep at regionals, she finished 1st AA and 1st on vault, bars and floor. She ended the season with a 6th place finish at JOs.

Alexis Olivier has committed to WMU. She is a Level 10 from Everest Gymnastics in North Carolina. This season she placed 9th AA at her state meet and qualified to regionals in her first season at Level 10.
Kelley Hebert, a L10 at Edge Gymnastics, has committed to UC Davis for 2017-2018. In 2016, she tied for 22nd AA at the L10 JO Nationals. She was previously committed to Washington.
Christina Weiss, L10 at High Point Gymnastics, has committed to Pitt. She placed 2nd AA at her 2016 state meet, 7th AA at regionals, and 34th AA at JOs.
Barbara Gibson, head coach of more than 30 years, has announced her retirement. Assistant coach Kasey Crawford will be the interim head coach this season.
