2015-16 Yzaguirre to Missouri

Storee Yzaguirre signed with Missouri and will join the team for the upcoming season.  She is a Level 10 from Achievers in Texas.  This season she placed 10th AA at her state meet and 14th AA at regionals.

McKinzie Jones, a L10 from US Gold Gymnastics, has committed to SEMO for 2015-2016.  She recently placed 18th AA at the 2015 Region VIII L10 Regionals.

2018-2019: Greenwald to Iowa

Alexandra Greenwald, a L10 at American Twisters, has committed to Iowa for 2018-2019.  She recently tied for 12th AA and placed 3rd on VT at the 2015 Region VIII L10 Regionals.

Maya Davis, a L10 at Waller's GymJam, has committed to Lindenwood.  She recently tied for 1st on VT and 3rd on FX at the 2015 L10 SoCal State Championships.

2017-18 Cohen to GW

Hannah Cohen, L10 from Gold Medal in New York, has committed to George Washington.   Earlier this season she won the Brestyan's Invitation and placed 1st on bars, beam and floor.  She recently placed 1st AA and 1st on beam at her regional meet and earned a second trip to JOs.

Honda Sports Award nominees named

Four gymnasts has been nominated for the 2015 Honda Sports Award:   Georgia Dabritz of Utah, Florida’s Kytra Hunter, Lindsay Mable from Minnesota and UCLA’s Samantha Peszek.   The athlete selected will be an eligible finalist for the Honda Cup.

Brad and Dawn Cattermole have announced their retirement after 28 years at BYU.  A national search for their replacements will begin immediately.

NCAA Event Finals

Event champions were crowned today at the 2015 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships.  Stanford's Elizabeth Price won the VT, while Utah's Georgia Dabritz won the UB.  On BB, UCLA's Samantha Peszek was the victor, while Florida's Kytra Hunter took home the top prize on FX.

Florida Wins 2015 NCAA Team Title

Florida frosh Alex McMurtry stuck her double layout off UB and was awarded a 9.95, lifting the Gators above the Utah Utes, who already finished. Utah entered the final rotation 0.15 behind Florida but proceeded to drill their vaults to a 49.55 team total.  Florida experienced a series of landing errors (hops, steps and large steps) until McMutry's score lifted the Gators to their three-peat.

L10 Regionals are underway around the country this weekend.  Region 7 will be held next weekend. 

The top seven competitors at regionals qualify to JOs, so long as they achieve a minimum score of 34.00.   This list highlights the seniors who are expected to compete at JOs.
