Defending champion Michigan tops the Women's Preseason Coaches' Poll. They7 received 37 first place votes. Florida just edged out OU for 2nd, with Utah not far behind. Florida had 16 first place votes, OU 6, Utah 8 and #5 LSU and #7 Cal 1 each.

Olivia Short, JPAC, is the first recruit to sign with Simpson College. Simpson College, a DIII school, added men's and women's gymnastics for the 2022-23 season. In her first season at Level 10 in 2021, Short competed only a few beam routines before her season ended early.
