Former Michigan gymnast (2016-2020) and grad assistant Uche Eke qualified to the Olympics for Nigeria, by placing 3rd at the African Championships. He graduated from Michigan with a masters in May with a 4.0 GPA. Link: Release
Michigan's Paul Juda won the silver medal and earned the US another spot at this summer's Olympic Games. Stanford's Riley Loos was 4th, OU's Vitaly Guimaraes was fifth, and Michigan's Cameron Bock was 6th. Brazil won the team competition, with the US second. Link: Release
Stanford's Brody Malone, a back to back ('19, '21) NCAA champ, took the lead after Day 1 at the US Championships, in the Men's Senior Division. Stanford teammate Brandon Briones is tied for 2nd with former Sooner Yul Moldauer, a two-time NCAA champ.
The University of Alaska at Anchorage has officially met the fundraising criteria set out by their Board of Regents. The program will be reinstated starting for 2021-2022. Although they continue to raise funds, it appears that the team is on the path to permanent reinstatement. Link: Release
Jenna Blair, a L10 from Stumpf's, has been committed to NIU since November 2020. She recently won the BB title and placed 4th AA at the NY State L10 meet.
Leah Smith first committed to Cal, then signed last fall with UW and now has signed with Arkansas. She recently finished 2nd AA and 1st on floor at L10 Nationals. Link: Arkansas Release
Alyssa Wiggins trains at Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta. This season she finished 1st on floor at her state meet. She qualified to Nationals and finished 45th AA. Personal website
Karina Munoz from Head Over Heels has committed to Iowa. This season she placed 1st AA and 1st on vault, bars and beam at her state meet. She placed 1st on vault at regionals and finished her season placing 12th AA at Nationals. Personal website
