SUU Hires AhQuin as an Assistant

2015-2016: Memmel to CMU

Skyler Memmel has committed to CMU for 2015-2016.  She had previously had been committed to WMU.  A L10 at her family's gym, M&M Gymnastics, she finished 24th AA and 10th(t) on BB at the 2014 L10 JO Nationals. Link:  Videos

PSU Hires Richards as an Assistant

PSU has hired Jeff Richards as an assistant.  He comes to PSU from GWU, where he was an assistant.  He was Head Coach at USU from 2008 to 2013.    Link:  PSU Release
(Note:  Editorials and opinion pieces will now be categoried separately) This past season, I've typed the phrase (when recapping a women's meet), "the highest score since 2004", too many times to count.  Team after team recorded new all-time high scores, or achieved their highest mark since 2004.  Why is the year 2004 significant?  Well, it was the season before the last time the coaches and judges collaborated to recalibrate the scoring system.
