Ohio State 194.2 at Pitt 192.25

Ohio State posted a season high 194.2 to defeat Pitt.  Rebecca Best won the UB while Nicole Krauter shared the BB title with Pitt's Alicia Talucci.  Buckeye Colleen Dean also won a share of the FX title, once again tying with Talucci.  Talucci won the VT outright, as well as the AA with a 38.85.

Florida 196.05 at Kentucky 195.35

Florida defeated UK, 196.05 to 195.35 in action Friday.  Seven different Gators or won an event title, including Courtney Gladys' two ties on VT and BB and Ashanee Dickserson's victory in the AA.  Also capturing shares of titles were Nicole Ellis (VT), Elizabeth Mahlich (UB), Maranda Smith (UB), Alicia Goodwin (UB), and Liz Green (BB).   For UK, Emily Green won FX and Storey Morris tied for 1st on BB .

Michigan State 193.75 at Michigan 194.2

In a rare Wednesday night matchup, Michigan was led by Sarah Curtis, who won the AA with a 39.275.  She also captured event titles on the UB and BB.  Frosh teammate Natalie Beilstein won the VT and FX.  The meet will be broadcast on Saturday, January 23rd on the Big 10 network.

Illinois Leads First GymInfo Men's Rankings

Illinois claims the top spot in this week's GymInfo National Rankings for Men's NCAA Gymnastics.   Illinois' Paul Ruggeri is the top AAer.

Towson 191.025 at Alaska 185.35

In action Sunday, Towson won the 2nd of two dual meets with Alaska.  Towson's Megan Wooden won the AA with a 38.3 while teammate Kacy Cantazaro won the VT and BB.

UCLA continues to hold the top spot in the rankings, holding off OU at #2.  LSU's Susan Jackson takes over the top AA spot.  A trio of gymnastics hold the top spot on VT, Erin Davis of NU plus UCLA's Tauny Frattone and Vanessa Zamarripa.  UCLA's Anna Li holds the top UB, while UGA's Grace Taylor is perched at the top of the BB standings.  UGA's Courtney McCool, UCLA's Elyse Hopfner Hibbs and Utah's Annie DiLuzio hold down the top spot on FX.

Arizona 194.675 at Stanford 196.025

Stanford won their home opener, led by Carly Janiga, who won the AA with a 39.325.  Janiga also picked up the win on FX.  Teammate Shelley Alexander won the VT. Arizona picked up a pair of wins, with Sarah Tomczyk winning the UB and Britney Jones winning the BB.

ASU 192.825 at Cal 191.8

ASU defeated Cal at home, posting a 192.825 a short time after thair last meet.  Mary Atkinson led ASU, winning the VT, UB and FX.  Teammate Kaitlynn Bohrman won the BB.  For Cal, Sophia Honcini won the AA with a 38.825.

UNH won the GWU/Lindsey Ferris Invitational, posting a 192.45 to outpace the field.  Christine Nguyen led UNC, winning the AA with a 38.9, with teammates Kara Wright and Krista Jasper in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.  Nguyen won the BB and FX, while Wright captured the VT and UB.

UNH posted a 195 to win the UNH Invitationals, defeating Ball State, USU and Yale.  UNH's Taryn LaFountain won the BB and FX to lead the Wildcats.  Teammate Helena Diodati won the UB.  Ball State's Brittney Emmons won the AA with a 38.525.   For Utah State, Heather Heinrich won the VT.
