Boise State 193.6 at UGA 196.825

UGA posted a new season high while the Broncos ran into problems on FX.  Lily Smith won BB and FX to lead the Gym Dogs.  Teammate Ja'Free Scott won the UB.  For Boise State, Alyssa Vulaj won the VT.

BGSU 189.975 at CMU 193.225

Host CMU triumphed over Bowling Green, in a meet held in conjunction with a wrestling match.  Samantha Shannon won UB and BB to lead the Chippewas.  Teammate Jenna Germond won VT while Chippewas Hannah Appleget and Quinn Skrupa tied for the FX title.  BGSU's Megan Bingham won the AA with a 38.425.

La Crosse was led by wins from Lily Millington and Darby Savage on VT, Lauren Main and Claire Robbins on UB, Raina Christenson on BB and Grace Kehr on FX.

Michigan 196.975 at MSU 197.5

Host MSU beat cross-state rival Michigan, hitting a 197.5.  Nikki Smith led the Spartans, winning the AA with a 39.525, the vault with a 9.95 and tying for the FX title with teammate Skyla Schulte.  Spartan Sage Kellerman tied for first on VT with Michigan frosh Sophia Diaz and her teammate Carly Bauman.  Wolverine Jacey Vore tied for 1st on BB with Mich frosh Jahzara Ranger.

Towson powered to a quad win at Penn on a very early Penn Senior Night, picking up wins from Isabella Minervini in the AA (39.0), Ava Harper on VT and Clara Hong on BB.  Penn's Melissa Lassiter won the FX while Yale's Lauren Luu won the UB.

Host EMU captured the quad meet, led by Raisa Boris' win the AA at 39.125.  Ball State finished just 0.125 behind, with Hannah Ruthberg winning the VT, Ashley Szymanski the UB and Zoe Middleton the FX.  For NIU, Ellery Werner won the BB.

Rutgers has placed Head Coach Umme Salim-Beasley on paid administrative leave following the release of a report on an investigation of her program and an undisclosed relationship with a former AD Pat Hobbs that violated university policy.

Kent State 193.775 at WVU 192.325

 Kent State's Nene Alvine won the AA (38.55), VT, and FX to lead her squad to the win at WVU.  Teammate Heidi Schultz won the BB.  For WVU, Anna Leigh and Trinity Macy tied for the UB title.

Rutgers won the MLK Invitational quad meet on Monday night.  Rutgers was led by Delaney Adrian, who won the AA at 38.95 and tied for the UB title with teammate Keeley Smith and the FX title with teammate Gabrielle Dildy.  Dildy also won the VT.  Teammate Rachael Riley tied for 1st on BB with W&M's Catherine Blatchford.

Men's: Stanford 318.45 at Cal 303.95

Stanford's Men posted a strong 318.45 to defeat host Cal's 303.95.  Cardinal Colt Walker won the FX and VT and posted an 80.4 in the AA (to tie teammate Taylor Burkhart).  Cardinal Brandon Nguyen won PB and HB.  Asher Hong added a win on the R.  For Cal, Aiden Li won the PH.

As we head into week three, we are now seeing other contenders make their debut.  OU cemented its position as the pre-season favorite with a big rematch win against some of the top teams, shown live on broadcast TV.   LSU is 2nd and Bama slides into third.  Utah is 4th and Cal is 5th, although head to head Cal had a significant edge.  Here are the women's National Rankings for the week of January 13th, as compiled by RoadtoNatioonals.com.

San Jose State 193.825 at Sacramento State 194.625

Host Sac State defeated NorCal rival SJSU on Sunday afternoon.  Chloe Cohen led Sac St with a win on UB.  Grace Gilman added a tie for 1st on VT with SJSU's Madison Kirsch.  Hornet Athena Jones tied for 1st on BB with Kirsch and SJSU frosh Madison Gustitus.  Gustitus also won the FX.

Denver held off Mizzou, UGA and LIU to capture the home quad.  DU's Rylie Mundell won the AA with a 39.275 and tied for the UB to lead the Pioneers.  She shared 1st on UB with Mizzou's Mara Titarsolej and UGA's Ja'Free Scott.  DU's Momoko Iwai shared 1st on BB with UGA's Lily Smith.  On FX, Tigers Kennedy Griffin and Jocelyn Moore tied for 1st.  Finally, on VT, Ady Wahl posted a 9.925 for 1st.
