Jordyn Wieber won the AA title at the 2011 VISA (US) Championships, posting a big second day tally of 61.45 to widen the gap over 2nd place McKayla Maroney. Florida commit Alexandra Raisman was third, and current Gator Mackenzie Caquatto was fourth. Wieber won the national titles on UB and FX, while Maroney was the VT champion. Former Brown star Alicia Sacramone won the BB. The Senior Women's National Team was also named:

Bross (dislocated kneecap) and Memmel (dislocated shoulder) were both injured during the competition.
Katelyn Ohashi of WOGA won the Junior title easily, capturing the UB, BB and FX in the process. She is not age-eligible for the 2012 Olympics, but her total of 120.95 would have placed her 2nd in the Senior competition. Junior runnerup Kyla Ross of Gym Max, who is age eligible for the 2012 Olympics, also outpointed the Senior runnerup. Lexie Priessman of CGA won the VT.
Danell Leyva won his first AA title at the VISA (US) Championships on Friday night. Former Sooner Jonathan Horton was 2nd. Jake Dalton of OU was the top current NCAAer. He finished fifth.
In the Junior Men's 16-18 category, incoming Michigan frosh Adrian de los Angeles was 1st, edging first round leader Jonathan Deaton by 0.1.
Jordyn Wieber of Geddart's Twistars powered to a first day lead at the VISA (US) Championships. In 2nd was Alexandra Raisman, with Chellsie Memmel in third. UCLA grad Anna Li holds the top spot on UB, while Florida's Mackenzie Caquatto is the top rated NCAA athlete, placing 6th.
Missouri has announced the hiring of Jennifer Green to fill the vacant post of Assistant Coach.
Danell Leyva leads the first day of competition in the Senior Men's division at the VISA (US) Championships. Former OU great Jonathan Horton is in 2nd, while another former Sooner, Steve Legendre is 3rd. Current or former OU athletes were in five of the top seven places. Current, former and past NCAA stars dominated the standings, showing the importance of college gymnastics to the National program.
In the Junior Men's Preliminaries, Jonathan Deaton of Daggestt's leads the field. Orlando Metro's Jake Martin was 2nd.
Rutgers announced the hiring of Kera Bolen and Umme Salim-Beasley as assistants. Salim-Beasley was a standout at WVU and has coached at Penn and WVU, in addition to the high school level.

Josh Nilson has been named an assistant at TWU. He comes to the Pioneers from USU, where he speant three years as an assistant.

Iowa State has announced the hiring of Kristen Maloney and Katie Minasola as assistants. Olympian and former UCLA star Maloney was an assistant coach at UNH last season. Katie (nee Teft) Minasola has been asssistant at Michigan State.

Alexandra Raisman of Brestyan's won the AA title at the CoverGirl Classic on Saturday night. Chellsie Memmel of M&M was 2nd AA. Earlier in the day, Kyla Ross of Gym Max won the junior title.
UCLA grad Anna Li competed on UB, hitting her new skills but coming off on the low bar as she prepped for her stalder hecht. Casey Jo Magee, the ex-Arkansas star, competed extremely well but just missed qualifying to the Championships on all four events (she previously qualified in three). Florida sophomore MacKenzie Caquatto hit her UB and BB routines well, scoring over 14 points on each. NU incoming frosh did well on three events, qualifying for the VISA Championships on three events. However, UW incoming frosh Jaclyn McCartin was injured on VT and was carried off the floor.

Illinois has announced that Jay Santos has been named Associate Head Coach of the women's team. Santos joined the staff last season.
Dan Miller has been named Assistant Coach at Nebraska, replacing Tim Garrison and rounding out the NU coaching staff. Miller comes to NU after a long and successful career coaching L10 and elite gyms at the club level.
