Transfer: Kraus to Nebraska

Nya Kraus, a standout sophomore at Lindenwood, will continue her career at Nebraska.  She competed on up to four events for the Lions, and was a qualifier on BB to the NCAA Regionals.

OU edged Michigan 418.957 to 418.954, thanks to a 1.0 neutral deduction to the team score.  Both teams easily advanced to the Final.  Ohio State posted a 408.725 to secure the final spot, defeating PSU (405.423), Air Force (398.089) and Springfield (382.19).  OU was led by Emre Dodanli, who posted the top mark of the day on FX, and teammate Max Bereznev, who posted the top mark on VT.  Michigan got first place finishes from Javier Alfonso on R, Evgeny Siminiuc on PB and Fred Richard on HB.  Air Force's Patrick Hoopes posted the top mark of the day on PH, a 15.266.   PSU's Josh Karnes posted an 83.531 to lead the AAers.

Stanford posted a 417.389 to win the first session of the qualifying day at the Men's NCAA Championships.  Nebraska was 2nd at 413.523 and Illinois 3rd at 410.461.  Cal was 4th at 407.158, Navy 5th at 396.29 and Greenville 5th at 389.157.   Stanford was led by Asher Hong, who posted the top mark of the day on R and PB.  For the Illini, Connor McCool had the top mark on FX while teammate Brandon Dang swung to a 15.0 on PH.  Illini Ryan Vanichtheeranont had the top mark on HB.  Cal's Khalen Curry had the top mark on VT.

Courtney Kupets-Carter will not return next season, after seven years at the helm of the program.  A national search will commence immediately, with ripple effect repercussions on coaching staffs and recruiting.

Stanford signee Levi Jung-Ruivivar, competing for the Philippines, won a silver medal on UB at the Doha World Cup.  In doing so, she has secured a spot at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Utah edge Florida to win the second Semi-Final at the Women's NCAA Championoships.  #1 Oklahoma stumbled on VT, with a fall and two very short landings to fall off the pace early.  Bama fell victim to the BB, with 4 misses and a 47.25.  With the "bracket" fully busted, the two will have a showdown with LSU and Cal on Saturday, for the National Team title.

LSU's Haleigh Bryant retained her lead from Session 1 with a 39.7125 to claim the 2024 NCAA AA title.  Tied for 2nd were Leanne Wong of Florida and Jade Carey of Oregon State.  OU's Audrey Davis shared the UB title with Wong and the BB title with teammate Faith Torres, all with scores of 9.9625.   Two other gymnasts from Session 1 took event titles.  Stanford's Anna Roberts won the VT title at 9.95 while LSU's Aleah Finnegan won the FX title at 9.9625.

LSU posted a 198.1125 to win the first Semi-Final session at the NCAA Championships.  Cal was 0.4 behind with a 197.7125 to also move ahead.  Stanford posted a 197.075 and Arkansas 196.475 to conclude their seasons.  LSU's Haleigh Bryant scored a 39.7125 to take the lead in the All-Around.  Scores from Session 1 and 2 will be combined to determine the AA and event champions.   Tying for second in the AA in Session 1 at 39.6375 were former clubmates Mya Lauzon of Cal and Anna Roberts of Cal.    The leaders on the other events:

2024-2025: Miyashiro to Air Force

Patience Miyashiro, a L10 at Realis, has committed to Air Force, starting in 2024-2025.  She recently tied for 14th AA at the Region 1 L10 Regionals.  She also qualified to Regionals in 2023.

2024-2025: Simcox to Pitt

Darbi Simcox, a L10 from Dynamats, has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Pitt, starting in 2024-2025.  She recently placed 1st on BB and 5th AA at the Region 7 L10 Regionals, in the Senior E division.  She also won BB at Regionals in 2023, qualifying to Nationals as an All-Star.
