Salt Lake City: Utah and Nebraska Advance

Host Utah knocked off #5 NU 196.825 to 196.525, as both squads easily advanced to the National meet.  3rd place Minnesota posted a 194.8, to finish ahead of ASU (194.4), San Jose State (193.4) and Iowa State (193.15).

Frosh Jessie DeZiel paced the Huskers, winning the AA (39.4), Vault and sharing the FX title with Utah's Kyndal Robarts.  Ute frosh Georgia Dabritz won the bars, while NU's Emily Wong won the beam. 

For the individuals, Dusti Russell and Kayla Slechta of Minnesota qualified as AAers.

Men's: OU Wins MPSF Championships

MPSF Gymnast of the Year Jake Dalton of OU was the star of the Championships, leading his squad to a win over Stanford, 355.6 to 352.1.  Cal was third at 345.95 while Air Force posted a 335.95.

Dalton won the AA with a 89.25, winning at least a share of title on Rings, PB, and HB in the process.  Stanford's Eddie Penev triumped on floor and vault, while teammate James Fosco earned a share of the Rings title.  Cal's Donovan Bailey won the PH.

Men's: Big 10 Event Finals

The Big 10 Championships concluded with the event finals.  Sam Mikulak of Michigan and Paul Ruggeri of Illinois won two events each.

Men's: ECAC Event Finals

Navy's Andrew Faulk dominated the event finals at the ECAC Championships, winning at least a share of titles on PH, PB and HB.  He won the AA and was named Gymnast of the Year.

Temple's John Leonard won the floor.  On PH, Joseph Hodges tied with Faulk for the title.  Dan Zerbel of UIC and Alex Tighe of Temple tied Faulk for the PB title.  Temple's Matt Martin won the vault, while Ryan Ponce of Springfield won the Rings.

Auburn: Georgia, Oregon State Advance

Georgia posted a 197.1 to win the Auburn Regional.  Oregon State (196.45) used a strong final beam routine from Leslie Mak (she won the event) to pass Michigan (196.325) for the 2nd ticket to Nationals.  Host Auburn was close behind at 196.1, just ahead of WVU at 195.9.  MSU was 6th at 194.05.

UGA was led by Kat Ding, who won the AA with a 39.5.  Ding also tied for the bars title with teammate Gina Nuccio and Oregon State's Olivia Vivian and Leslie Mak.  Teammate Noel Couch took the floor.

Three athletes punched their tickets to Nationals on Vault with a win:  AU's Kylie Shields and Michigan's Katie Zurales and Joanna Sampson.  Zurales will go to Nationals, however, as an All-Arounder, along with Auburn's Brianna Guy.

Seattle: Bama, LSU Advance

Alabama won the Seattle Regional with ease, posting a 197.025.  LSU (196.075) pulled out the qualifying spot, shaking off an early fall on beam to hit their remaining routines and extend their 0.025 lead into the final margin of victory.  Washington (195.825) had a shakey beam rotation after a strong start on vault and bars.  Arizona posted a 195.075 after problems on bars, with Iowa (194.6) in fifth and CMU (194.15) in sixth.  

Bama was led by Geralen Stack-Eaton's 39.4 AA win.  She also tied for first on bars with teammate Ashley Sledge and on floor with teammate Marissa Gutierrez.  Teammate Sarah DeMeo tied for the beam title with Arizona's Katie Matusik.  Washington's Aliza Vaccher won the vault with a career-best effort.

Individually, Matusik advances on the beam while teammate Aubree Cristello advances in the AA.  Vaccher also advances as an All-Arounder.

Fayetteville: UCLA, Arkansas Advance

UCLA posted a 197.225 to hold an inspired effort from Arkansas (196.825) and claim the Regional in Fayetteville.  Arkansas was boosted by the partial return of Katherine Grable and Kelci Lewis from the injured list.

Boise State posted a 196.05 after a few problems on beam.   Missouri posted a 195.45 to take fourth, finishing the meet strong.  Maryland was fifth at 194.4 and UNH sixth at 193.9.

UCLA was led by wins by Vanessa Zamarripa on bars and Ellyse Hopfner-Hibbs on floor.  Teammate Samantha Peszek tied for the vault title with Boise State's Amy Glass.

Arkansas' Jaime Pisani won the AA and the beam title to lead the GymBacks. 

Glass and Missouri frosh Rachel Updike qualified as individual AAers.

Champaign: Oklahoma and Stanford Advance

OU posted a 197.025 to win the Champaign Regional.  After a stellar 2nd half of the meet, Stanford closed the gap on OU to a post a 196.675 and hold off host Illinois (195.725).  DU was fourth with a 194.875, with UK fifth at 194.75 and UIC in sixth with a 194.15. 

OU was led by Megan Ferguson, who won the FX and tied for the beam title.  Stanford's Alyssa Brown won the vault while teammate Nicole Pechanec won the bars.  Another Cardinal, Amanda Spinner, tied for first on beam, along with SEMO's Taylor Westrick.  The tie earns Westrick an individual spot on beam at Nationals. 

Illini Alina Weinstein posted a 39.45 to win the AA.  Joining her as an individual qualifier in the AA is DU's Moriah Martin.

Raleigh: Florida, Ohio State Advance

Florida and Ohio State advanced out of the Raleigh Regional.  Florida cruised to the win with a 197.325, but Ohio State (196.225) faced a stiff challenge from host NC State (195.975).  PSU struggled on beam (195.65) after challenging early on.  North Carolina was fifth (194.025) and Kent State sixth (193.575).

Individually, Ashanee Dickerson led Florida with a win in the AA (39.65).   She also tied for the vault title with teammate Alaina Johnson and the bars title with Johnson and NC State's Rachel Fincham.  Teammate Marissa King won the beam while another Gator, Kytra Hunter, won floor. 

Advancing as individuals are Sharaya Musser of PSU and Morgan Evans of UNC in the AA, along with Fincham.
