NLI: Arizona Signs Two

Arizona has announced the signing of Allison Flores and Amber Wobma to NLIs.  The commits of both were covered in prior news items.  Said Head Coach Bill Ryden in a release, "Both girls are quality all-arounders and we expect them to make an impact on all four events."

NLI: NC State Signs Three

NC State has announced the signing of Lane Jarred, Megan Kurdelmeir and Naomi DeVries.  The commits of all three were covered in prior news items.  Says Head Coach Mark Stevenson, "All three are very skilled athletically and academically. They'll play a huge role in moving the program forward."

NLI: Michigan (W) Signs Three

Michigan has announced the signing of three to letters of intent:  Annette Miele, Sachi Sugiyama, and Morgan Steigerwalt.  Says Head Coach Bev Plocki, "These athletes make up one of our solidest classes in years.  All three can contribute on every event their freshman year and two have elite experience. We're excited for the future."

NLI: Ohio State (W) Sign Three

Ohio State (W) has signed three athletes:  Sarah Grady, Alexis Schmidt, and Morgan Zlotolow.  The commits of all three were covered in prior news items.  Says Head Coach Carey Fagan, "We are very excited about the class of 2011 and the talent and experience they will bring to the team next year."

NLI: Western Michigan Signs Two

Western Michigan has inked two gymnasts for 2011-2012, Michelle Adams and Shelby Pflug.  Adams' commitment was covered in a prior news item.  Pflug is a L10 who trains at Aerials Gymnastics in Illinois. She placed 18th AA at the 2010 L10 Nationals, Senior B.  She also finished 5th on VT and 21st AA at the 2009 Region V L10 Regionals.

NLI: SEMO Signs Pair

Southeast Missouri has signed a pair of gymnasts, as expected.  Arielle Bulls and Taylor Huey have signed on to start in 2011-2012.  Head Coach Kristi Ewasko added, "As we continue to push our team and goals to new levels, it is imperative that we add committed and dedicated young women to our program.  With Arielle and Taylor, we have done just that.”

2011-12 Hoffman to Rutgers

Emma Hoffman, L10 at Rebound in New Jersey, has committed to compete for Rutgers next season.  Hoffman finished in the top 10 AA at most of her 2010 meets, including a 9th place AA finish at regionals.  She finished 1st AA (1st V/FX) at the NIT.

NLI: Stanford signs two

Sam Shapiro and Pauline Hanset have signed with Stanford for the 2011-12 season.  Shapiro's commitment was covered previously.  Hanset is a Level 10 from Premier Gymnastics in Tennessee.  She placed in the top four AA in most of her meets last season and qualified to the Nastia Luikin Cup (20th AA).  She finished her season with just two events at the NIT, but finished 1st on beam and 2nd on bars.

NLI: WVU Signs Three

West Virginia has signed three athletes: Dayah Haley, Lia Salzano and Maci Sump.   The commits of all three were covered in prior news items.  According to Coach Linda Burdette-Good, “Top to bottom, this is one of our most nationally experienced classes".

2012-2013: Genrich to Kent State

Anna Genrich, a L10 at Euro Stars, has committed to Kent State for 2012-2013, according to a site submission.  She placed 24th AA at the 2010 L10 Nationals, Junior D.  As a L9 in 2009, she won the VT and FX titles while placing 4th AA at the Level 9 Eastern Nationals.
