Krystal Walker of UW Oshkosh won the AA with a 37.1 to help lead her team to the win.  Teammates Leane Blais and Emily Ryan won UB and FX, respectively.  For UW Stout, Kaylee Jondahl won the vault while Hamline's Kambria Blakely won the BB.

Cortland State 183.05 at W&M 190.725

William and Mary won the home opener, led by sophomore Brittany Stover's wins on VT, UB, BB and in the AA (38.975).  Teammate Jess Pritchard won the FX.

Oregon State's Hannah Casey and Erika Aufiero  tied for the UB title with Ohio State's Melanie Shaffer and BGSU's Amanda Lievendag, but the Beavers used a 49.15 on that event to down the hosts, plus BGSU.  Ohio State's Sarah Miller won the BB and the vault.  Teammate Shaffer also won the AA with a 39.225, in addition to her share of the UB title.  For Bowling Green, Alyssa Nocella won the FX.

UNH 191.75 at Rutgers 195.075

Rutgers powered in their first meet to break the 195 barrier, easily defeating UNH.  Luisa Leal led the way, winning the FX and tying for the VT title en route to a 39.225 AA win.  She tied on vault with frosh teammate April Baker.  Teammates Emma Hoffman and Alexis Gunzelman completed the sweep by winning UB and BB, respectively.

Springfield 177.075 at RIC 165.075

Springfield's Lauren Pocius won the AA, UB and FX.  Teammate Kristin Felieu won the VT while Abby Clark won the BB.

Bridgeport 181.8 at SCSU 186.325

SCSU scored the home win over Bridgeport's split squad (the rest of the team competed at Arkansas last night).  Nicole Pruchnik led the way for SCSU, winning BB and FX and tying for the VT title with teammate Meghan Cole.  Bridgeport's Amber Hill won UB and the AA (37.75).

Brooke Baures won BB and Jade Donaldson tied for the VT title (with Whitewater's Kelsea Fischer) to lead their squad to the win.  Leah Robinette of UW Eau Claire won the UB while teammate Elizabeth Stubbs won the FX.

Brockport 185.325 at Ithaca 163.475

Visiting Brockport split the event titles among four gymnasts:  Olivia Sylvestro on VT, Stephanie Schuler on UB, Jennifer Sklenar on BB and Lexi King on FX.

2016-17 Preston to UCLA

Madison Preston, L10 from CGA in Ohio, has committed to UCLA.  Last season she finished 1st AA and 1st on beam at her state meet and qualified to regionals.  Madison will take an impressive history of career vault wins to UCLA.

Alaska 188.2 at SPU 190.75

SPU defeated Alaska Anchorage, led by wins by Maria Hundley on VT and BB.  SPU frosh Tracie Villanueva won UB while classmate Kristi Hayashida tied with senior Kai Tindall for the FX title.  M'rcy Matsunami posted a 38.325 to lead a trio of UAA AAers.

UW La Crosse coasted to an easy win, led by Sheree Romesburg's wins on VT and FX.  Teammate Morgan Shene won UB and tied for the BB title with teammate Kendall Westrich.

Maryland 192.05 at CMU 194.8

CMU easily defeated Maryland, after the latter started slow on UB.  CMU used a balanced attack, led by Brittany Petzold.  She won the AA with a 39.175, the vault, and tied for the FX title with teammate Emily Heinz.  Heinz tied for the BB title with Maryland's Stephanie Giameo.  Chippewas Taylor Bolender, Megan Lamphere and Kylie Fagan tied with Maryland's Kathy Tang for the UB title.

Centenary 181.575 at LSU 197.2

LSU posted a 197.2, its highest opening meet score ever, to down cross-state rivals Centenary.  Rheagan Courville led the way for LSU, winning the AA with a 39.6, the FX with a 9.95 and tying on the BB with a teammate Jessie Jordan.  Teammate Sarie Morrison won the VT and UB.

Missouri 193.425 at Bama 197.15

Bama posted its highest opening meet score in its illustruous history, a 197.15, to easily down Missouri.  Kim Jacob led Bama, winning the AA with a 39.525, the BB with a 9.875 and tying for the UB title with frosh Amanda Jetter.  Diandra Milliner of Bama won the VT and FX to complete the sweep.

Michigan kicked off their season in strong fashion, posted a 196.525 to easily outdistance ISU and Ill St.  Joanna Sampson led the way for the Wolverines, winning the AA with a 39.325, the FX (9.925) and tying for the BB title with frosh Nicole Artz.  Teammates Natalie Beilstein and Austin Sheppard won UB and VT, respectively.

UGA 196.5 at OU 197.7

OU blasted to its highest opening meet score in school history, posting a big 197.7 mark for the first meet.  The Sooners posted a 49.5 to close the meet on FX.  Haley Scaman led the Sooners with 9.95 wins on VT and FX.  Teammate Erica Brewer won the AA with a 39.45 and won UB with a 9.925.  Teammates Rebecca Clark, Madison Mooring, and Taylor Spears tied for the beam title at 9.925.
