Frey Signs with Minnesota (M)

Matt Frey has signed with Minnesota, according to the Bradenton Herald.  Frey, who trains at South Florida, placed 40th AA at the 2008 Junior Olympic Nationals.

Florida Signs Six, Two to Start in January

Florida has signed six athletes, with two ready to compete during the 2010 season.  Mackenzie Caquatto, Kytra Hunter and Alaina Johnson are three senior international elites who will start in 2010-2011.  They will be joined by local L10 Brittney Noble.  Their commits were covered in prior news items.  In addition, Liz Green and Marissa King will start in January, bolstering the Gator squad for this season.  Green's commit was covered previously, and there was some uncertainty which athletes were going to join for the 2010 season.

King is an elite gymnast on the British National team.   A 2008 Olympian, she was the 2009 British National champion on VT.  She was also 3rd AA, UB and FX at the same competition.  She also competed at the 2007 and 2009 World Championships.

2010-2011: Key Signs with Alaska

Morgan Key, a L10 at Texas East, is heading to Alaska.  At the 2009 Region III L10 Regionals, she finished 10th AA and 2nd(t) on FX in the Senior C division.

In the same article, clubmate Alana Johnson signed her NLI and confirmed an intent to start next season.

2010-2011: Brady Signs with SEMO

Erin Brady, a L10 at Oshkosh, has signed with Southeast Missouri State, according to the Northwestern newspaper.  At the 2009 L10 Nationals, she placed 20th AA and 9th(t) on VT.  In 2008, as a Junior D, she tied for 25th AA and placed 9th on FX.

Missouri Confirms Four Signees

As expected, Missouri has signed Cathyrn Aliceacosta, Taylor Medrea, Brittani Price and Katelyn Trevino.  All four signees were featured in prior news items.

Iowa State Signs Six

Iowa State has six athletes to letters of intent, including two we have not yet featured. The six are:  Henrietta Green, Milan Ivory, Hailey Johnson, Megan McDonald, Camille Santerre-Gervais and Michelle Shealy.

Johnson is a L10 from the Charter Oak Gliders who finished 28th AA at the 2009 L10 Nationals in the Senior B division.  In 2008, she tied for 8th AA and 4th on BB in the Junior D division at L10 Nationals.

Santerre-Gervais is a Canadian who competed last season at the National Open level for Gymnix.  At the 2009 Canadian Championships, she placed 3rd AA, 1st on BB, and 4th(t) on UB in the National Open division.  In 2008, she was the National AA Champion at the National Open, 16+ level.  She also captured the UB title and placed 3rd on BB.

2010-2011: Alberhasky Signs with Iowa (M)

Lance Alberhasky has signed with Iowa, according to the Press-Citizen newspaper.  He trains at the Iowa Gym Nest.  At the 2009 Junior Olympic Nationals, he finished 44th in the AA preliminaries.

2010-2011: Seaman Signs with ASU

Samantha Seaman has signed with ASU, according to the News-Leader.  The L10 trains at Missouri Valley.  She qualified for L10 Nationals in 2009 but did not compete after placing 4th AA, 2nd on VT and 5th on FX at the Region IV Regionals, Sr. C.   She also tied for 34th AA at the 2007 L10 Nationals.

2010-2011: Senters Signs with Stanford (M)

Parkette Sean Senters has signed with Stanford, according to the Allentown Morning Call.  In 2009, he finished 10th AA at the Junior Olympic Nationals.   In 2008, he was 10th AA in the junior 14-15 divison of the VISA Championships, placing 1st on FX and 3rd(t) on HB.
