Iowa State has announced the hiring of Kristen Maloney and Katie Minasola as assistants. Olympian and former UCLA star Maloney was an assistant coach at UNH last season. Katie (nee Teft) Minasola has been asssistant at Michigan State.

Marissa Wossner, L10 from IGI in Illinois, has committed to walk on at Boise State. In her first year at level 10, Wossner competed three events in most of her meets, winning beam and floor at the Sand Dollar meet.
Alexandra Raisman of Brestyan's won the AA title at the CoverGirl Classic on Saturday night. Chellsie Memmel of M&M was 2nd AA. Earlier in the day, Kyla Ross of Gym Max won the junior title.
UCLA grad Anna Li competed on UB, hitting her new skills but coming off on the low bar as she prepped for her stalder hecht. Casey Jo Magee, the ex-Arkansas star, competed extremely well but just missed qualifying to the Championships on all four events (she previously qualified in three). Florida sophomore MacKenzie Caquatto hit her UB and BB routines well, scoring over 14 points on each. NU incoming frosh did well on three events, qualifying for the VISA Championships on three events. However, UW incoming frosh Jaclyn McCartin was injured on VT and was carried off the floor.

Shannen Kelly, L10 at Desert Devils, will compete for Air Force according to her club's Facebook announcement. Kelly placed 3rd AA at her 2011 state meet and 11th AA at regionals.
Illinois has announced that Jay Santos has been named Associate Head Coach of the women's team. Santos joined the staff last season.
Air Force welcomed five cadets to the start of basic training: Elaina Cammarata, Lindsay Ebel, Kim McRobbie, Alexandra Stych and Jessica Wallander. The commits of Cammarata, McRobbie and Stych were covered in prior news items.
Ebel is a L10 from the Colorado Aerials. At the 2010 Region III L10 Regionals, she placed 10th AA. She also tied for 44th AA at the 2009 L10 JO Nationals. Link: YouTube.com Channel
Wallander is a L10 from Metroplex. In 2009, while at Texas Dreams, she tied for 10th on UB and 23rd AA at the L10 JO Nationals. After missing 2010, she competed on two events at Regionals in 2011. Link: VT in 2011

Giana O'Connor, L10 from Gymnasti in Illinois, has committed to Illinois according to an announcement on her club's website. She placed 4th AA (1st UB) at her 2011 state meet and 11th AA at Regionals.
Taylor Rice, L10 from Gymcats in Nevada, has accepted a scholarship to Stanford according to her clubs Facebook page. Rice placed 2nd AA (1st V/FX) at her 2011 state meet, 9th AA at regionals and 5th AA (1st UB/BB) at the NIT.
VideoDan Miller has been named Assistant Coach at Nebraska, replacing Tim Garrison and rounding out the NU coaching staff. Miller comes to NU after a long and successful career coaching L10 and elite gyms at the club level.
Karlee Teet, L10 at CGI in Colorado, has committed to CMU according to a site submission. She placed 9th AA at her 2011 state meet and qualified to regionals where she placed 15th AA
Brooklyn Schumacher, L10 from Bart Conner Gymnastics in Oklahoma, has committed to Ball State. Schumacher placed 3rd AA (1st V) at her state meet this season, and then went on to finish 8th AA finish at regionals and 11th AA at the NIT.
Lindonwood University has announced the addition of Women's Gymnastics, starting with the 2012-2013 season. In 2013-2014, they will be competing as a Division II program. Head Coach Gretchen Goerlitz comes to LU after two years at Centenary. The former USU and DU competitor got her master's at TWU. In a release, Goerlitz said, “I’m honored to be the first head women’s gymnastics coach at Lindenwood University, to be joining the ranks of such an ambitious athletics department, and to be a part of the history of building a new and strong gymnastics program,” said Goerlitz. “I cannot think of a better university to be adding the sport of gymnastics. It is truly a great time to be a part of Lindenwood and specifically the athletic department as it paves new paths down the road of excellence.”

Nicole Nickels, a L10 at Xtreme in Missouri, has committed to SEMO, according to a site submission. Nickels placed 33rd AA at the 2011 L10 JO Nationals, Sr. C. She was 38th AA in 2010.
Ball State announced that Caroline Fiscus of Gym Dandy's in Pennsylvania, and Alexis Moore of Gedderts in Michican will join Samantha Santos this fall at Ball State. Santo's commitment was previously reported.
Chuck Dickerson will remain on staff. Mary McDaniel makes the move from McCrackens Gymnastics to an assistant coach position.
