Oregon State has announced the signing of two athletes to NLIs for the 2011-2012. Said Head Coach Tanya Chaplin, "They are talented gymnasts, excellent students and wonderful young women. They have had tremendous success academically and competing at the Junior Olympic level." The two, who were covered in prior news items, include:
Chelsea Tang, a L10 from NAAG and a 2010 L10 National Champ on the UB
Cerise Witherby, a L10 from Wildfire who finished 3rd AA at the 2010 L10 Nationals

Penn State has signed three gymnasts, according to a school release. The commits of all three were covered in prior news items. According to Head Coach Jeff Thompson, "We are excited about the possibilities with the three of them on our 2012 roster and can't wait to start coaching them next year." The three are:
Alexis Carroll, a L10 from Hills who is a 2010 L10 National Champ on vault
Krystal Welsh, a L10 from Docksiders. She finished 6th on the UB at the L10 Nationals.
Alexandra Witt, a L10 who finished 4th UB and 8th AA at the 2010 L10 Nationals.

Auburn has announced the signing of three gymnasts, as we've reported in prior news items. According to Coach Jeff Graba, "All three of these young women have had very successful club careers and trained at some of the best gyms in the country". They are:
Brianna Guy, a L10 from the Docksiders and a two time JO National Team member
Caryn Kadous, a L10 who trains at Aerial Athletics
Megan Walker, a L10 at Southern Tier. She is a former jr. international elite who competed at the 2008 US Classic.

Washington announced the signing of four athletes to letters of intent. The commits of all four were covered in previous news items. Says Head Coach Joanne Bowers, "These four recruits are definitely the strongest class we have signed to UW"

OU Head Coach KJ Kindler has announced a total of five gymnasts will be joining Oklahoma's women's squad. Four of the five commits were covered in prior news items. Said Coach Kindler in a release, "When it comes to drive, determination, talent and commitment they are certainly not short of those attributes. I am thrilled to call them Sooners."
Hayden Ward, a L10 from Dynamo, will be joining the team early, in time for the start of the season in January.
Erica Brewer is a L10 from Champion in Kentucky.
Rebecca Clark is a senior international elite who has been training at GAGE.
Madison Mooring is a L10 who now trains at Dynamo. According to our records, Mooring initially committed to Nebraska. An earlier commit, Caitlin Mann, did not appear in the release.
Haley Sorensen is a L10 from Cypress who has completed necessary paperwork to confirm her acceptance of admission.

Natali Ruzich, L10 from ENA in New Jersey, has committed to compete for Temple. She finished 8th AA at the 2010 Chicago Style, 5th AA at her state meet and 17th AA at her regional meet. In 2009, she finished 2nd AA (1st BB) at the Eastern National Championships.
Asi (Matalasiaufaiga) Peko has committed to UCLA for 2012-2013, according to a site submission. Peko is a former jr. international elite and US National team member who currently trains as a L10 at Brown's Las Vegas. In 2010, she won the National Title on FX at the L10 Nationals, in the Junior C division. She also placed 3rd AA, 2nd(t) VT and 8th(t) BB at the meet. In 2008, she placed 4th AA, 2nd FX, and 2nd on VT at the VISA (US) Championships.

Jordyn Beck, a L10 who trains at McCracken's in Kansas has committed to Nebraska, according to a site submission. This past season, she placed 3rd AA at the Chicago Style Meet and the Pink Ribbon Invitational, and competed in the elite division at Metroplex and Buckeye. In 2009, she placed 32nd AA at the L10 Nationals, and then later in the season, qualified to the US Classics in the junior division.

Kaitlyn Betts has committed to attend and compete for Kent State, according to a site submission. The 2011 grad trains as a L10 at Euro Stars in Michigan. At the 2010 Region V L10 Regionals, she placed 11th AA, 3rd on UB and 4th(t) on VT. She then competed at the 2010 JO NIT meet, placing 3rd AA in Senior C.

Carley Sims, L10 from JamJev Gymnastics in Alabama, has committed to Alabama. Sims had several 1st place finishes at her 2010 meets including a 1st place sweep of Carnival of the Stars, 1st AA (1st V/UB/FX) at the Charleston Cup, 1st AA (1st UB/FX) at her state meet, and 1st AA (1st V/BB/FX) at her regional meet. She finished 7th overall at the 2010 JO Nationals.
Lora Leigh Frost, L10 from Calvin Twisters in Alabama, has agreed to walk on at Alabama. She placed 2nd AA (1st V) at her 2010 state meet, 4th AA at regionals and 23rd AA at JO Nationals.
Erin Freier, L10 from Geddarts in Michigan, has reportedly committed to Arkansas. She was a consistent top-five finisher during the 2010 season, including 4th AA (1st FX) at her state meet and 4th AA (1st UB) at regionals. At JOs she won the national bars title on her way to at 16th place AA finish.
