Stanford tops the 2010-2011 Men's Preseason Coaches' Poll, as published by Troester Gym Info. Stanford received 7 first place votes, the same as Michigan, which is listed as #2. OU picked up two first place votes to rank third. The defending National Champion Wolverines nipped the Cardinal for the title last season.
Emily Bigras, High Performance Sr. from Ontario, Canada has committed to Iowa. At the 2010 Canadian Nationals, she competed in the National Open session, finishing 11th AA (7th UB) on Day 1 preliminary session and 10th AA (6th BB) in the All Around/Event Finals. At the Wild Rose International Invitational, she finished 10thAA (2nd UB) in the Sr. Challenge session.
UIC Frosh Cynthia LeMieux-Guillemette, representing Canada, captured her third Bronze of the Games, placing 3rd on BB. She won a Bronze on UB and in the team competition, while placing 8th AA. UIC frosh teammate placed 5th on BB while sharing a team bronze. Earlier in the week, Yale frosh twins Nicole and Tabitha Tay competed for Singapore, placing 18th and 20th in the AA final, respectively.

Maile'ana Kanewa, L10 from The Gym Academy in Minnesota, has verballed to OU. She had a strong 2010 season, highlighted by 1st place AA wins at the Winterfest (swept all events), Sand Dollar (1st V/UB/FX), Chicago Style (1st V/FX), and the Twin City Classic (1st BB/FX). She finished 4th AA at her state meet, 3rd AA (1st V/FX) at regionals and 13th AA at JO Nationals. She finished 8th AA at the 2009 JO Nationals.
At Day 1 of the Event Finals of the Commonwealth Games, UIC frosh Cynthia LeMieux-Guillemette won a Bronze on the UB.

Brandy Stover has committed to William and Mary for 2011-2012, according to a site submission. She trains as a L10 at SIGS. At the 2010 Region V L10 Regionals, she placed 5th on BB and 18th AA.

USA Gymnastics has named its Women's World Championships squad. Florida signee Mackenzie Caquatto, UGA commit Chelsea Davis and UCLA recruit Mattie Larsen were named to the seven women roster.
The Men's team, named back in August, included Chris Brooks (former OU), Chris Cameron (Mich), Jonathan Horton (former OU), Steven Legendre (OU), and Brandon Wynn (Ohio St).

Illinois has announced the hiring of Jay Santos as visiting assistant coach for 2011. He most recently coached at Iowa State.

Auburn has hired Jenny Rowland as an Assistant Coach. She coached at OU from 2001 through 2006 and she has served as a judge nationally and internationally.
Keeley Kmieciak, L10 at Phenom Gymnastics in Illinois, has verbally committed to the University of Oklahoma. Kmieciak has turned in two consecutive knock out seasons, winning nearly all of her meets in 2009, including a first place sweep at JO Nationals. Highlights of a stellar 2010 season include a perfect 10 on vault at the Bravo Classic, a first place sweep at the Big Dream Classic, first place finishes on vault in all of her meets through regionals, and many other individual event wins. She placed 16th AA at JO Nationals (7th V; 4th FX).
Mike Lorenzen has been named Associate Head Coach at ASU, according to a school release. Previously, he was an assistant at Stanford for five years, and a Head Coach at Iowa.

Baylie Divino, L10 from Olympus Gymnastics in Utah, has committed to SUU for the 2012-13 season. In 2010 she finished 1st AA (1st BB/FX; 2nd V/UB) at the Utah state meet and 16th AA (4th V) at regionals. She finished 19th AA (8th UB) at the 2009 NIT.

Sammie Musto, L10 from Atlantic Coast Gymnastics in New Jersey, has committed to PSU according to a submission from her family. Musto turned in first place AA finishes last season at the Rutgers Color Games (1st V/BB), the Maryland Classic (1st V/BB), the PKI (1st V/UB/BB), Gasparilla (1st V/UB/BB), and the Winter Bowl (swept all events). She qualified to the Nastia Luikin Supergirl Cup where she finished 8th AA. She placed 1st AA at her state meet, 1st AA (1st UB) at her regional meet and 3rd AA (1st BB) at JOs.
Brittany Holmes, L10 at Geddarts in Michigan, has accepted an offer from MSU according to a post on the Region 5 Facebook page. Holmes turned in consistent top five finishes in most of her meets last season. She finished the season with a 2nd AA (1st BB) finish at her state meet, a 1st place (1st BB) finish at her regional meet, and a 17th AA (7th BB) finish at JOs.
