Alexis Carroll has committed to Penn State for 2011-2012, according to a site submission. The Hill's trained athlete placed 7th(t) on UB and 17th AA at the 2009 L10 Nationals, Jr. C. As a junior international elite in 2008, she placed 22nd AA at the VISA (US) Championships.
Twin City Twister L10 Lucy Meyer is headed to Stanford, according to her official recruiting website. Meyer finished 8th AA and 6th(t) on VT at the 2009 L10 Nationals, Sr. A. She also competed on the US team at the Maccabiah Games. She also placed 42nd AA and 10th(t) on VT at the 2008 L10 Nationals.

Megan Alvarez has committed to Minnesota, according to a site submission. The L10 from IGI placed 16th AA at the 2009 Region V L10 Regionals, in the Senior A group.

According to Gymn.ca, Nicole Pineau has committed to Iowa. The Canadian trains at Club Aviva in BC, where she competes National Open. She has competed at the jr. high performance level in the past. At the 2009 Canadian Championships, she placed 9th AA and 5th on FX in the National Open 16+ division. At the 2008 Championships, she placed 6th AA, 2nd on FX, and 5th(t) on VT, in National Open 16+.

Jessica Pritchard has committed to William and Mary, according to a site submission. A L10 at X-Cel, she tied for 10th AA and 1st on UB at the 2009 Region VII L10 Regionals, Senior A. She also qualified to Regionals in 2008.

Victoria Harrison has committed to Arkansas for 2011-2012, according to a site submission. The L10 trains at Folger's Gymnastics in Kansas. At the 2009 L10 Nationals, competing in the Junior D division, she placed 20th(t) AA and 5th(t) on FX. As a Junior C at Nationals in 2008, she won the L10 National title on BB and placed 2nd on FX. She also was 10th in the AA.

CGA elite Cassie Whitcomb has committed to UCLA, according to her club website. She is set to graduate in 2011. At the 2009 VISA (US) Championships, she placed 8th AA, 2nd on the UB and 5th on FX in the senior international division. Hope Sloanhoffer has committed to West Virginia, according to a site submission. Sloanhoffer finished 8th AA, 1st on FX and 3rd on VT at the 2009 Region VI L10 Regionals, Senior A. At the 2008 L10 Nationals, competing as a Junior C, she placed 25th in the AA.
Defending Men's National Champion Stanford tops the Men's Preseason Coaches' Poll, with eight first place votes. Cross-Bay Area rival Cal is second with four votes, while the ever-strong OU men are third. Michigan, ranked fourth, earned the other first place vote.
Kristi Ewasko has been named as the acting Head Coach at Southeast Missouri, replacing Tom Farden, who resigned to take an assistant's position at Arkansas. She had been serving as an assistant coach. As Kristi Boyte, she competed for Auburn.

The Canadian competed this past season as a National Open competitor, while training at the Capital City Gymnastics Centre in Alberta. At the 2009 Canadian Championships, she placed 1st on FX, 3rd on VT, and 5th AA in the National Open 16+ division.

Krystal Welsh has committed to Penn State, according to a site submission. The L10 trains at Docksiders and is expected to join Penn State for the 2011-2012 season. At the 2009 L10 Nationals, she placed 2nd(t) on FX and 9th(t) AA. She competed one event at Regionals in 2008 and placed 41st AA at Nationals in 2007.
Winners at the event finals of the World Championships, Day 2:
Women's BB: Deng Lin Lin of China won the Gold. American Ivana Hong was third.
Women's FX: Britain's Beth Twiddle claimed the gold. US's Rebecca Bross tied for third.
Men's VT: Marian Dragulescu won his second gold.
Men's PB: Wang Guanyin of China took the gold.
Men's HB: Zou Kai of China took the gold. Danell Leyva of the US was 4th, and teammate Jonathan Horton finished 8th.

Sylvie Borschel has reportedly committed to Temple. Borschel, a level 10 gymnast at Capital Gymnastics National Training Center in Virginia, placed placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively on fx, beam and vault and 3rd place AA at '09 state meet and 7th on floor at regionals.
Kayla Williams of the US, who was competing L10 earier this year, won the World title on vault, becoming the first american to do so.
He Kexin of China won the UB gold, with Rebecca Bross of the US tying for the bronze. Bridget Sloan was 6th.
For the men, Romanian Marian Dragulescu won the FX title, with OU's Steven Legendre in 8th.
Zhang Hongtao of China won the PH title with an amazing 16.2 score, with former Cal star Tim McNeill in fifth. China's Yan Mingyong won the Rings.
