GWU posted a strong 195.55 to defeat Yale (191.425) and win the Little Boston Invitational. Alex DeMoura led the way, winning the FX and the AA with a 39.175. Teammate Cami Drouin-Allaire won the VT with a 9.875, while senior Chelsea Raineri won the UB. Colonial Jillian Winstanly won BB with a 9.85 to complete the sweep.

UCLA held off a consistent Arkansas to secure a win at home, 195.7 to 195.35. UCLA was led by Gold Medalist Madison Kocian, who won the AA with a 39.425. She also tied for the event titles on UB, BB and FX. She tied on UB with classmate and 2012 Gold Medalist Kyla Ross and Peng-Peng Lee. On BB, she tied with leadoff Mikaela Gerber. On FX, teammate Madison Preston grabbed a share of the title. Preston also tied for the VT title with Arkansas' Amanda Wellick.
UCLA started the meet off solidly on VT and UB, but ran into troubles on BB. They had near-falls from Lee (on her two foot layout) and Katelyn Ohashi (on her bhs, bhs, layout with a full twist). Ross and Sonya Meraz also missed their dance series requirements (a 0.2 deduction), failing to connect a C level dance skill to another dance skill, both pausing after their major dance elements. On the FX, the Bruin lineup had issues with their tumbling, including low landings on dismounts and two falls.
Arkansas stayed consistent and avoiding counting medium and large mistakes, a solid result for a first meet on the road.

Utah latest superstar, frosh McKayla Skinner, had a stunning debut in front of a crowd of 14,675. She won the VT (double twisting Yurchenko), UB, and tied for the FX title with teammate MaKenna Merrell. She also managed 2nd on BB (behind senior Baely Rowe), en route to a 39.55 AA win. On FX, she drilled her double twisting double back mount and closed with a full-in. Utah posted a 196.625 to defeat Michigan's 195.525.

Denver super frosh Maddie Karr returned to her home state for her debut and shattered the DU frosh class school recording with a 39.5 AA win. The Pioneers defeated the host Gophers 195.875 to 194.725, despite competing only five gymnasts on both VT and FX. Karr won the VT, posting a 9.925 for her Yurchenko 1 1/2 and the BB. She also tied for the FX title with the Gopher's Bailey Abernathy. Classmate Sam Ogden won the UB.

Ohio State posted a 194.375 to defeat host Pitt's 192.8 on Saturday. Ohio State was led by Alexis Mattern, who tied her career best of 39.225 to win the AA. Mattern also took the event titles on VT and FX. Teammate Stefanie Merkle won the BB. For Pitt, Taylor Laymon took the UB.

Host PSU held off a fierce charge from BYU on the UB to win the quad meet by just 0.1, 194.625 to 194.525. Temple excelled with a 191.925 while BGSU posted a 190.752. Penn State was led by Briannah Tsang, who picked up where she left off last season by winning the VT, FX and the AA with a 39.35. She also tied for the BB title with BGSU frosh Jovannah East. Nittany Lion Sabrina Garcia won the UB.

UNH opened with a 193.425 to win the quad meet hosted by Rutgers (192.875). Bridgeport was 3rd at 191.225 and W&M fourth at 188.3. UNH was paced by wins from Meghan Pfieger in the (38.975), Nicole O'Leary on VT, Danielle Mulligan on UB and Casey Lauter on BB. Bridgeport's Brianna Comport won the FX with a 9.825.

Towson posted their best ever season opening tally, a 193.9, to easily defeat SCSU. Tyra McKellar led the Tigers, capturing wins on FX and UB. Teammate Erin Tucker led off an vault and scored the win there. Tiger Gabriella Yarussi posted a 9.9 to win BB.

Arizona overcame a shakey BB rotation to defeat the visiting squads from USU and TWU. Wildcat frosh Heather Swanson posted a meet-high 9.85 to win the VT. Teammate Selynna Felix-Terrazas won the UB while teammate Madison Cindric won the BB. USU picked up a win from Madison Ward on the FX. For TWU, Schyler Jones won the AA with a 38.65. The BB was particularly unkind to all three teams this evening.

Iowa State defeated the visitors from ASU, 193.85 to 191.8. Haylee Young paced the Cyclones, winning UB, BB, FX and the AA (39.25). Teammate Meaghan Sievers won the VT.

Missouri posted a big 196.225 to score an easy win over Illinois and Ball State. The Tigers sent a strong message, shattering the school record for opening meet performance despite the one-meet absence of their top AAer from last season. Frosh Aspen Tucker had a solid debut, posting a 39.175 to win the AA. Teammate Britney Ward won the VT, while teammates Becca Schugel and Kennedi Harris tied for the FX title. Tiger Madeleine had the top score on the night, a 9.925 to win the UB. Illinois rebounded from a 47.575 on UB to post a 49.25 on BB, with three Illini tying for the title: Brielle Nguyen, Mary Jane Horth and Lizzy Leduc.

Oregon State upset host Auburn 195.575 to 195.275, making a strong statement for the season. Veterans lead the way for the Beavers, with Kaytianna McMillan posting a 39.125 to win the AA. Teammate Erika Aufiero, who missed 2016 with an injury, won the UB with a 9.85. Oregon State's Madeline Gardiner won the BB. McMillan tied for the FX title with AU's MJ Rott and frosh teammate Isis Lowery. Auburn frosh Gracie Day posted a win on VT with a 9.85. Neither team counted falls but the Beavers won three of four events, and tied the Tigers on the fourth.

Maggie Nichols met all loft expectations as she posted a huge 39.725 to lead the Sooner to a 197.75 to 196.7 victory over the visiting Crimson Tide. She was near-perfect on UB, posting a 9.975 to take the title. She also won the FX at 9.95. Teammate Brenna Dowell won VT with a 9.95 on a stuck Yurchenko 1 1/2. The Sooners lowest mark on UB was a 9.9, equalling Bama's highest. Their lowest on VT, a 9.825, was also equal to Bama's highest.
Bama excelled on BB, however, defeating the SOoners as a team on the event. Kiana Winston led the squad with a 9.95 win.

LSU set a school-record opening meet score with a huge 197.825. It's the higest mark of the young season. UGA struggled to a just a 193.6 with BB troubles. LSU's Myia Hambrick continued her winning ways, posting a 39.575 to win the AA. Teammate Sarah Finnegan won the UB and BB. Tiger Ashleigh Gnat was just being in the AA with a 39.525 while super frosh Kennedi Edney won the VT with a 9.95.

Michigan State defeated the visitors from UIC, 194.175 to 191.475. Frosh Ella Douglas had a strong debut, winning BB and the FX. Teammates Nicola Deans and Hailee Westney won VT and UB, respectively. For UIC, Mikailla Northern won the AA with a 38.675.

Kentucky defeated host EMU, led by frosh Mollie Korth's 39.175 and trio of wins from sophomore Alex Hyland. Korth joined the UK program at mid-year. She and Hyland tied for the UB title with EMU's Kendall Valentin. Hyland then won the BB and FX. Sophomore Sidney Dukes won the VT.
