Women's National Rankings for the Week of March 20th Featured

OU Finished #1 Overall and on VT and UB OU Finished #1 Overall and on VT and UB (c) Lloyd Smith 2022, Used by Permission

Led by OU, 36 teams have qualified for post-season competition after the completion of Conference Championships, per the National Rankings for the week of March 20th, as compiled by RoadToNationals.com.  The Top 16 teams will be seeded into four Regions, and eight of the lowest ranked teams will be subject to "play-in" rounds.

OU finished as the the top team on VT and UB.  Utah finished on top on BB while UCLA retained the top spot on FX.

Oregon State's Jade Carey finished in the top spot on FX and in the AA.  LSU's Haleigh Bryant was the top finisher on VT, while UCLA's Jordan Chiles finished on the top spot on UB.  Utah's Maile O'Keefe was the top beamer.

We saw some shakeouts in the relative rankings of the teams, as the conference championships brought teams together under large judging panels.  Many teams scored well below their NQS marks in head-to-head competition, placing below teams ranked below them in the rankings.  We also saw a high degree of unevenness in the Conference Championships scoring, reflecting the wide variation in scoring "strictness" across the country.  In particular, the "home scoring" advantage experienced by some teams seems to be enhanced this season, with unevenness in scoring panels enhanced in some cases by the number of close, in-state/region meets on the  schedules of some teams.  This will make Regionals even more unpredictable.
