Teams are already celebrating "Senior Nights" as the Women's National Rankings shift to a new formula for the rankings.  This week, the teams are based not on running average, but the average with the high and low score removed, with a maximum of five home meet scores.  OU remains #1, LSU #2 and Bama #3.  Florida slips ahead of UCLA into 4th, with the Bruins in 5th.  Here are this week's rankings, as compiled by RoadtoNatioonals.

The Top Six teams continue to be relatively separated from the rest of the pack, with #3 to #5 closely packed, with UGA just over a tenth behind.  There have been some shifts in the rankings as teams with an exceptionally low score were able to drop that one from their average.  We are also seeing some tight groupings, but things will increasingly get locked into place as the number of meets in the average will damper movements in the rankings.  We are already seeing the potential for some post-season surprises as teams go head-to-head, teams improve their consistency and scoring panels mix.  By event, OU remains the leader on VT and on BB, Bama leads on UB and LSU takes over on FX.

The individual rankings and qualifications to the post-season will use the old formula, whereby the three highest away scores are taken, then the next three highest scores, the high score tossed, and the remaining five averaged.  This causes more disruptions to the rankings this week, as individuals drop out.  Individually, UCLA's Jordan Chiles remains the top AAer and takes the lead on FX.  OU's Addison Fatta is the new leader on VT, while teammate Faith Torrez is tied with Bama's Kailin Chio for 1st on BB.  Bama's Chloe LaCoursiere remains the leader on UB.
