The RQS formula really places an emphasis on away meet scores. To calculate the RQS, you must first find a team or individual's top three AWAY scores. From the remaining scores, you select the three highest HOME or AWAY scores. Then, you toss out the highest score and average the remaining five. A team's HIGH score sets a max gate on what they can achieve (and how high they can rise) after this weekend.
PSU's Sharaya Musser continues to lead the AA standings. On VT, Erin Davis of NU holds the top spot. Oregon State's Olivia Vivian and Florida's Mackenzie Caquatto hold the top spot on UB. UCLA's Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs is the top BB worker, while Stanford's Ashley Morgan holds the top spot on FX.
Here's this week's Top 25. There is real drama as the battle for the final spots in the Regional competition heats up. The teams ranked 35 to 39 are all within "striking" distance of each other. Their performance this weekend will determine if they qualify to Nationals or not.
