We will be switching to Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) next week, and so we'll see movements in the rankings.
OU has the top spot on VT, UB and BB. Florida takes over the top spot on FX.
Individually, OU's Olivia Trautman remains the top AAer (she has not competed AA since her debut). Her teammate Maggie Nichols remains the top vaulter (returning to action this past weekend on that event) and holds the top spot on UB. Minnesota's Lexy Ramler takes over the top spot on BB, while UCLA's Katelyn Ohashi has the top spot on FX. We'll see new AA and VT leaders next week, as six scores are required for a ranking.
LSU and DU are closing the gap on Utah, following big scores this past weekend. The teams remain tightly bunched, with a little over a point separating #5 to #19 and less than 0.5 from #9 to #19. There is also a super tight bunch for the last Regional qualifying spots; just 0.108 separates #34 Illinois from #41 UNC.
They will switch to the RQS next week, which is calculated by taking a team's top three away meet scores, then selecting the other three highest scores, tossing out the highest, and averaging the remaining five. We will see a lot of movement and a lot of tight bunching as we move through the last few weeks. As you may recall, staying in the Top 28 is critical in order to avoid an extra "play-in" meet at Regionals.
