Tokyo Oympics: Women's Preliminaries

Simone Biles and Auburn incoming frosh Sunisa Lee placed 1st and 3rd in the AA but numerous mistakes led the US to a 2nd place finish in the team prelims.  Lee qualified to the event finals in the AA, UB and BB.  Oregon State's Jade Carey qualified to the finals on VT and FX.  

Carey finished 9th AA while former Ute McKayla Skinner was 11th.  Incoming Ute Grace McCallum was 13th.  UCLA Bruin Brooklyn Moors (CAN) was 22nd AA and qualified to the AA final.  She's the third reserve for the FX final.  Ute commit Amelie Morgan (GBR) was 33rd while UCLA signee Jordan Chiles was 40th.  

Bama's Shallon Olsen (CAN) was 46th AA and qualified to the VT final.  

ISU's Arianna Orrego (PER) was 74th while former DU standout Simona Castro (CHI) was 75th.
