Another weekend has passed, and we've see more questions open up about the season as the rankings have shuffled once again. Team that started strong have since wobbled a bit, while others with some early stumbles have steadily climbed. And we've seen some others that have been steady and consistent in the meets thus far, and have solid Top 25 positions to show for it. As 197 becomes the new 196, let's see how the week has gone....
The College Gymnastics Association (CGA) posted their week three rankings for the men, for the week of January 26th. The rankings, unlike for the women, are based on a survey of coaches. Oklahoma leads the poll, followed by Stanford and PSU. OU was not an unanimous choice this week; one first place vote went to PSU.
Stanford's Elizabeth Price vaulted to her first 10 and swung the nation's toughest routine to a tie on UB (with Oregon State's Chelsea Tang) to lead the Cardinal to the win. Teammate Taylor Rice won the FX and took the AA with a 39.475. Stanford's leadoff, Rebecca Wing, took the BB with a full twisting backhandspring and a fully connected front aerial to back handspring to back layout series.

After the the third full weekend of competition, we're still seeing a lot of movement in the National Rankings for Women, as published by Troester.com GymInfo. OU holds the top spot, as LSU moves into 2nd. Florida slips to third. As teams travel and get more meets under their belt, early season inconsistency and nerves can cause quite a fluctuation in the rankings.
