Jessica Yamzon, L10 at Gymcats in Nevada, has reportedly committed to Arkansas. Jessica qualified to the 2012 JO championships. In 2013, she finished 1st AA and 1st on beam at her state meet. She went on to qualify to the NIT where she finished 1st AA and 1st on bars and beam.
Riahanah Ali, L10 from Oakland Gymnastics in Michigan, has announced her commitment to Rutgers. Riahanah placed in the top five at her meets during the 2013 season. In the post season, she placed 7th AA at her state meet, 10th AA at regionals and 6th AA at the NIT.
Although the US did not send gymnastics teams, a number of NCAAers competed at the World University Games this past week. UCLA's Danusia Francis made the floor final and placed 6th.

Jennifer Pinches, International Elite and Olympian from Great Britain, has announced that she will join UCLA's team. She expects an official annoucement from UCLA in September, presumably after she is officially enrolled.
With summer in full force and the start of the academic year fast approaching, high school prospects have every opportunity to get a well-deserved breather. Rebound Gymnastics in N.J. has announced that Kristen Politz recently committed to PSU. She qualified to the 2013 JOs after finishing 2nd AA at both her state and regional meets.
Washington has promoted assistant David McCreary to Associate Head Coach.

SEMO has signed Alyssa Tucker for 2013-2014. A L10 at Team Attraction, she is a three-time JO National qualifier. At the 2013 Junior Olympic Nationals, she tied for 31st AA. She also finished 34th AA in 2012.

Alaska has added Natalia Joyce, Nicole Larkin and Brice Mizell for 2013-2014. Larkin's commit was covered in a prior news item.
Joyce is a L10 from Excalibur who placed 31st AA at the 2013 L10 Junior Olympics Nationals. She was injured in 2012.
Mizell is a L10 from Leading Edge who placed 8th AA at the 2013 Region II L10 Regionals. She was also 48th AA at the 2012 L10 Junior Olympic Nationals.

Centenary has announced the addition of Saxon Reaux to it's roster. Reaux is a level 10 from Sky High Sports in Texas. She qualified to regionals in 2012. She finished 18th AA at her 2013 state meet.
Fatima Hylton, L10 at Desert Lights in Arizona, has committed to Seattle Pacific. She finished 2nd AA and 1st on floor at the 2013 Fiesta Bowl. In the post season, she placed 5th AA at her state meet and qualified to regionals.
Oregon State has announced the addition of Brian Amato to the coaching staff. Amato comes to OSU from Brandy Johnson's gymnastics in Florida.

Diana Chesnok, L10 at Southeastern in N.C., has committed to Denver. She qualified tot he 2012 NIT and finished 6th AA. She placed 2nd AA at the 2013 Sweetheart Invite (1st V/FX) and at the Charleston Cup (1st V/BB).
Auburn picks up our youngest commit yet -- at least the youngest commit that we know about -- in Meredith Sylvia of Parkettes. As a junior elite, Meredith competed at the 2012 American Classic and US Nationals. This past season she placed 2nd AA at the PKI and 1st AA (1st UB) at the WOGA Classic.
