Hollyn Patrick, L10 at Airborne in Colorado, has committed to Illinois. She placed 4th AA at Region 3 Regionals in 2016 and qualified to JO Nationals.
Katelyn Garay, L9 from Classic Gymnastics, has committed to Sacramento State. In 2015 she won the L9 bars and floor titles in her region and placed 2nd AA at Westerns.
Jensen Scalzo, L10 at American Twisters, has committed to Arkansas. She finished 1st on bars and 5th AA at her 2016 state meet. She finished the season with a 12th place finish at regionals.
Anna McCarthy from Gymsports has committed to West Chester. She finished 19th AA at her 2016 state meet and competed two events at regionals.
Caylin Smisek, L10 at Twin City Twisters, has committed to Iowa State. Last season she won her session of the Chicago Style and placed 1st on bars. She placed 4th AA at her state meet. She placed 3rd AA at regionals and won the floor title.
The college search for athletes has grown complicated and increasingly competitive, especially during the past 10 years.
