The US won its first team medal in 16 years (2008), in a strong comeback from a problematic qualification round.  Japan won Gold, just 0.532 points ahead of China, which ended up 1.269 points ahead of the USA.  The US was clearly ahead of 4th place Great Britain.  The US finished 2nd as a team on R, VT and HB and were very consistent, with no execution scores below an 8.0, the only team of the eight finalists to achieve this level of execution and consistency.
